From what I understand, much of American nazi ideology revolves around accelerationism towards an all-out genocidal race war. If their white savior figure were to be martyred it could further radicalize the right towards that end. Keep in mind the last attempt on Trumps life was by a right-winger and that only galvanized his followers. They aren't angry with Trump, they're just insane bigots that will go to any lengths to promote genocide.
I mean, didn't Trump renege on some tariffs and back off on some other things while trying to hide the recensions by either distracting the public or just blaming the democrats.

My guess is that the plan was to frame "the left" for the assassination and trigger a race war. These nuts are so itching for a fight that they believe that the entire country is on the verge of neighbors fighting neighbors, and they just need to push it over the edge.

Hard to grasp how incredibly broken those people are. Like, has no one ever told them it actually feels good to help other people? It's been scientifically supported as one of the most effective joy-inducing activities known, far beyond acquiring wealth or shopping. Ironically, it's probably the best way to demonstrate a sense of power (which these hollow souls seem to pursuing, through vitriol)...the power to influence someone else's existence in a beneficial way.
I know, right? There are some people that just are mentally broken in some irreparable way, but that's a small percentage. The rest, it's just so hard to imagine what led them here. And it's sad that it's come to this.

It may be a power imbalance. There's a link between domestic abuse and extremism so I wouldn't be surprised if he was raised in an abusive home

What's "mass" about one drone? Is this just language to bring different legalities to bear?
I don't know about Wisconsin specifically, but some jurisdictions legally classify explosives as WMDs, alongside all the nukes and chemical weapons and stuff that people think of ordinarily.
Any destructive device is categorized as a WMD in the U.S., and rightly so. One drone strapped with a pipe bomb can cause a lot of damage very quickly with very high precision.

While they're all pretty much the same in all the ways that matter to everyone who isn't a racist asshole, if you care to dig into it there's a lot of different white supremacists ideologies that really aren't compatible with each other. Historically a lot of different movements there spent a lot of time arguing and fighting with, and hating each other, which is why the "unite the right" thing was kind of a big deal.

There's some that think Christianity in general is a Jewish conspiracy, which is part of why you get some of them being all about Norse paganism and such.
