  • It was in denial

Mocking/shaming people will never be a viable political strategy

    • It seems to work just fine for the right, so I'm not sure why there's a double standard on the left. The truth is, it's not really a problem for most people. They just use it and any other excuse they can to justify voting against the left party or leftist politicians. This is often because they support racist, misogynistic, or authoritarian ideas that sound bad when said out loud. So instead, they look for reasons to say the other person is bad and can't be voted for.

I expect some people will respond by trying to point out how bad the left is over the right for some reason, which only ends up proving my point. It's likely that anyone who does this is just trying to deflect from their own side's issues rather than addressing the real problems.

Edit just to add: Saying the left is bad is one thing, saying they are worse than the right or shit only smells when they do it is just ludicrous...

      • If wealth inequality is getting worse and the president tells me that I'm doing great despite my proportional wealth being less than a medieval peasant then that means the President is lying.

The difference between religiously indoctrinated bigots and the college educated is you can't lie to to college educated and have them love you for it.

If they were honest about the economy, instead of trying to gaslight people who can see they are being gaslit, then they would have had more support.

But aknowledging wealth inequality means Neoliberals aknowledging their role in perpetuating wealth inequality, and forcing their rich doners to make concessions, which they are to cowardly to do.

  • Anyone who bothers paying attention knew Republicans were going to fuck our economy up. They always do. But even I am shocked at how fast it's happening.

Doesn't matter. This country is too stupid to learn from mistakes. And down the ship goes.

  • My family has been paycheck to paycheck since about 2012, nothing has changed for that. I don't care about the stock market, I care about an income for the low income people like me. No president in my life time has done that.

Trump never will, Biden could have put pressure on congress and chose not to.

  • I'll let him know once my college loans are forgiven, the genocide stops in Palestine, and he sends us all the rest of the relief checks he promised if he got the two senate seats in Georgia he needed. Then he said, "no I meant $2000 total minus the $1400 you already got while Trump was in office." Dude is a turd and a weak turd at that. He deported more people than Trump. Trump just brags more.

    • Yeah the only difference is Trump loudly declares the bad things. I wish Biden followed on his good promises.

Sorry you got downvoted for remembering all the failures and things people try to gaslight us about.

    • Then he said, “no I meant $2000 total minus the $1400

That really pissed me off too, how they changed the messaging abruptly after the election and just pretended they'd never said it. Bastards.
