These AI comics are terrible.
- It's a shitpost, calm down.
  
  Same one was in political memes yesterday.
  Brace for impact, the model that produces these came out only very recent.
  
  Yeah, I'm a pretty big AI sceptic myself (as in, its usefulness has been way overhyped), but anyone that goes "AI, therefore not funny" needs to lighten up.

Could AI comics ever become undistinguishable to real comics? Even though its becoming harder to tell, will it ever be able to get the text consistent?
- How can you tell if this one is? The text differences within and between panels 1 and 2 are indistinguishable (to my eyes) from JPEG artifacts.

- Cthulhu is a priest whose role is to summon the ancient ones. In this context he is the middleman.

  Possibly but if it was, they were repeating the calls their masters (the elder things) made before they were overthrown by the shoggoths.

- It's a direct reference to At The Mountains of Madness. The penguins make exactly that call in the book and are friendly with the Ancient Ones, and really only present in the story while the humans are in the domain of the Ancient Ones.
  Although the choice of showing Cthulhu in the final panel rather than one of the Ancient Ones is inaccurate. Perhaps it's meant to be a sculpture, since in Call of Cthulhu it was made clear that Cthulhu was specifically the shaman of the ancient ones, meant to wake them when the time is right
  Anyways I'd highly recommend reading the stories since they're quite a unique style and dripping with a mounting, growing intensity. You can even listen on LibriVox. Call of Cthulhu is about an hour long and At The Mountains of Madness is about 4.5 hours long, so one decent car trip's worth of audiobook basically

Got swallowed by the river back when the Indians were still running the roost. Some say it's not a quarry at all and that it leads into the innerds of that world itself.
