Man holy shit, is this for real? I knew things were grim out there, but not "even proponents of nice capitalism Kurzgesagt will make a video about how things are grim with no way out" levels of grim.
This is it right there, the long-term unsustainability of capital. It's by its own nature a suicidal political economy, with no hope of ever having any long-term viability.
Yeah, the fact that even they can't find a way to put a positive spin on it really underscores just how grim the situation is.
These the motherfuckers that put a positive spin on nuclear war and climate collapse
How long until we get another video like it, but for Japan?
What is this channel?
Think Vsauce for economics or cgp grey but like one level more advanced.
Totally devoid of the political reasons behind the population collapse, and totally embedded into the neoliberal ideology that suggests that your country implodes if the GDP drops for some reason. No dialectics either - just the idea that all of these crises will happen and no one will react in any way whatsoever.
Thing is that as long as neoliberal policies continue, then so will the trends they talk about. At some point things will get bad enough for neoliberalism to be overthrown, but it is very likely that a crisis will precede that.
I found a YouTube link in your post. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
