The new instance-blocking feature might not be all bad if it means instances that blocked Hexbear based on a before (like feddit.de) now consider unblocking Hexbear because individual users can now (once their own Lemmy instance upgrades to Lemmy 0.19) block entire instances, if they choose.
This obviously doesn't apply to instances where an admin blocked Hexbear out of the admin's own deep-seated need to purge anyone to the left of themselves.
I like how they're pretending that seeing our posts is the problem (which is now solved). Real issue is we exist and there are no mods they can complain to to get us banned
I got into a brief argument this week. It was brief because I realised it wasn't going to get very far. They were calling the Lemmy devs authoritarian for defederating .ml from NSFW communities. I explained that this protects kids. Apparently it should be up to individuals to decide what they want to see. Firstly: what the fuck. Secondly: what the fuck. So not only are there horny instances, there are people who are unhappy that every instance isn't horny.
