  • Someone pointed out that the deprogram boys might've beaten me to it by like 3 days. It's apparently in their video on it, I watched it but must have not paid attention as I couldn't find the specific part, but worth noting.

    Anyway I'm convinced this is the strongest way to push back against it.

        Do you include Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, Vietnam, Laos, Nepal, the Kerala district of India, or more complicated places like Angola, Nicaragua etc in that? Is there a type of “red” (marxist) that you don’t call a fascist? (serious question)

  • Now, George Orwell was a huge piece of shit but he did work in British propaganda, so a lot of the shit in :1984: is a projection of the Empire's acutal techniques so is sometimes useful to think about.

    And "woke" and "tankie" are absolutely the paragon of newspeak. They're purely vibes-based words that boil down to nothing more than 'bad thing' or 'bad person', and they instantly terminate the thoughts of anyone who says them. They simplify and irrationalise discourse in a way that completely disrupts arguments of reason - if a chud or a liberal hears something sensible that they don't like, they can just spit out their totem word and all their cognitive dissonance is expelled along with it. You cannot be right because you are woke/a tankie, so I can (and must!) manually halt my brain from processing what you said by slapping you with my magic word. And this magic word is a full-spectrum shield that applies to absolutely anything that challenges me from any direction.
