DOJ: Police Shooting Family Dogs has Become ‘Epidemic’
Cops in this country kill so many dogs each year that a specialist at the Department of Justice’s (“DOJ”) community-oriented program services office says it has become an “epidemic.” The DOJ estimates that around 25 to 30 dogs are killed by cops every day, with some numbers as high as 10,000 per year. The totals could, in fact, be higher, since most police agencies do not formally track officer-involved shootings involving animals.
- See, the knee jerk reaction is to say "well why don't we shoot the polices family dog?"
  But that's not the answer. Thats some eye for an eye shit. And you have to remember that these animals don't understand what a cop is. They just know what they've been trained to do. If you go out and start shooting police dogs, you're just killing dogs.
  I don't know what the answer is. But it's not that. I just know this shit needs to stop.
  
  The answer is to fire the police.
  Out of a cannon.
  Into the sun.
  
  It's not even the dog's training necessarily, many dogs just bark at people approaching their territory out of instinct. Let people secure their dogs before you come barging into their homes, but also make sure you're barging into the right fucking house. It's really not rocket science.
