Today, President Biden announced that he is commuting the sentences of 37 individuals on federal death row. Those individuals will have their sentences
No government should be in the business of executing thier citizans.
Abolish capital punishment!
Good. Since 1976, 16 people have been executed by the federal government. 13 of those were during the last Trump administration. Apparently Trump, at Barr's prompting, realized he could legally get people killed so he kicked the process into high gear. Trump has always had a hard-on for executions (See: Trump's Central Park Five newspaper ad)
Aside from the morality, it's cheaper. Trump being a good businessman should appreciate that...oh, right...maybe someone else good in business can explain it to him.

They were the Boston Bomber, a white nationalist that shot up a black church in 2015, and a nazi that shot up the tree of life synagogue in 2018. So you know, mass murderers.
Per Biden's statement,
These commutations are consistent with the moratorium my Administration has imposed on federal executions, in cases other than terrorism and hate-motivated mass murder.
In which case, Robert Gregory Bowers, Dylann Roof, & Dzhokhar Tsarnaev all fit those exceptions.
Interestingly (morbidly?) all of these happened in the last 10 years.
