SPD cleric makes me really emotional
I was waiting for cleric release since there was only rumors and today I finally updated the game to try the beta version. Aaaaaaand they're nonbinary! As a nonbinary person I feel Seen and it's a strangely comforting feeling like I can't even describe it. It's so personal and important for me to see a nonbinary adventurer. Also I like their gameplay so far more than any other hero! And their lore is so cool! Sorry I just really need to tell someone about this. Now the only thing I'm worried about is Russian translation because I have little faith in translators in relation to they/them pronouns but I hope that they get it right.

I'm very glad people are happy with the better representation with the new heroes. As I've said before, I don't think Shattered's cast will ever be super diverse (given that the starting point is 3 white men and one 'girl character'), but I'd like to get it out of 'clearly bad' territory without making substantial changes to the existing heroes. For the Cleric in particular the thought of them being NB really nicely arose from their backstory, which I hope to be able to put in-game eventually.
Evan please read this, I enjoy representation with the duelist and all, but saying that a game with only white men and girl is "clearly bad" is very off-putting, even if you didn't mean it that way. This game has a lot of russian and asian players, which tends to avoid LGBT pronouns, and I've seen people start to correct them online to use they/them on cleric. This starts to cause drama on group chats. I am personally fine with cleric, but I think it's best not to go too far like Sony's Concord, as this issue tends to kill games.
the world is doomed if characters gender decide if a game is good or "very bad" rather then game's mechanics, music, art style etc, how does it affect or matter if someone is a boy, girl or an armed helicopter, nobody cares, but anyways, it's your game so you do you
What do you mean by better representation? In real life only 3 percent of people are NB, gay, or lgbtq. In shattered it's 20 percent (the sad ghost and now the cleric)
