I mean, I would agree, but scrolls are too powerful for this. There are not many harmful scrolls, so it would only end up as a buff
Idk
As someone who loves the current spellbook
This would just make the book overpowered.
Scrolls are just so powerful
Getting to pick the ones you want, even if you don't make it a guarantee, it would just be too strong.
This is specially true because of the lullaby scroll. Being able to sleep a guarantee amount of times, and having control of when to sleep, would just be just broken, especially in this game.
Stabilizing the unstable spellbook would only work it lullaby isn't in the book
You shouldn't get any negative vibes from anything
Feedback is always welcome. There are always changes based on player feedback
However, something you gotta realize is that the player base adapts better than you might think. Also the whole player base doesn't follow your exact play style, so even if you think something is weak, or strong, it might not be born out of the data.
I mean, what do you want from me? You want me to agree with you? I think you are wrong
Let the dev cook. He does take feedback, so maybe he'll listen to you
The game is constantly changing, it's better to just adapt to change.
This specific change, really isn't as bad as you are making it out to be. But we'll have to wait and see I guess. I trust Evan's judgement
You should try out the new bombs.
A single upgraded bomb absolutely demolishes those summoning trap rooms. They now have more range and more damage.
This imo balances things out
Also, disarming, is really not that necessary on most runs . Traps are never in the way of important stuff
I feel like bland fruit chunks should be included, there are people who don't even know this item exist
I mean, I guess it depends on how you look at items
If all they are to you is alchemy fodder then sure, whatever
What do you sacrifice for it tho?
Cause all items are valuable
Yeah, it's definitely still dangerous, but I like the gameplay.
This is exactly what trinkets are meant for, to give new gameplay elements
I really like it, but I'm a very daring player. I liked salt cube before the buffs as well
The censer also shoots out very beneficial gases in some situations. Shrouding fog just being purely beneficial to the player
The censer shoots the gas far enough that getting caught on it is rarely an occurrence for me
I could make a case for all of those things, literally none of them are useless. Some other time 🤔
But you should play around more to find uses of items and everything else
Some things have synergies with other things.
Except the amulet of yendor, but that's supposed to be the last item you get
Yeah it is. Case in point, everything has it's use
Okay, that's like saying "if you know how to manage food, you should never need the horn of plenty"
Stuff just happens, I like having the ring of tenacity
I see, thank you for the answer
And thanks for your hard work, I'm really enjoying this patch.
I updated through the playstore, and I missed the Beta 5. Was there anything important there?
I see the Salt Cube got some sort of buff, but aside from that, what else changed?
The thing is, putting everything on armor doesn't get you magic resistance.
