I have wondered about True's reputation. People tend to be pretty bold around him, but the man in the bottom panel seems to have a very good idea of what's coming his way, and where True's opinions fall.That's the galoot running away.

Interesting how the woman asks her son to go in, as if it were deemed more appropriate at the time for a boy to enter a saloon than for a woman.
