119 2 ReplyBreaking a cable with style!
100 2 ReplyBad for the charging port. You know, that hole with 24 extremely tiny wires and pins? Once that's damaged, you have a brick, not a phone.
61 2 ReplyThis is why I believe in UK plug supremacy. Extreme support, extreme safety. Be extreme today. Convert to the UK plug
19 5 ReplyThat's make the phone pretty bulky
25 0 ReplyThey're talking about the USB port. Which might have been inferred from "24 pins".
19 0 ReplyI think they were taking about the lightning port on the iPhone.

You may hide now before the europlug F squad I called gets here.
8 0 ReplySchuko is way nicer and isn't a landmine when left on the floor.

Phones are pretty light as long as you set it in there gently and didn't do it often it wouldn't hurt anything.
4 2 ReplyYou can't assert that. Not to a certainty.

Or you open it up and replace the daughterboard holding the port. Worked fine when I did it for a friend.
2 0 ReplyIs that actually how you spell, what I thought was, “dotter board”?
2 0 ReplyYeah, motherboard, daughterboard.
6 0 ReplyOh so no sonboard or fatherboard?
What kinda of world do we live in?….. 😔
4 0 ReplyConsidering you plug the daughterboard into the motherboard quite often, sonboard might be the more appropriate term, because of the male plug type. But maybe people didn't quite want to raise the spectre of motherfuckers.
7 0 ReplyNot to mention the implied incest lmao

You don't have wireless charging as a backup?
4 2 ReplyA backup, sure. But I use Android Auto every day. Also, I wouldn't be able to charge it from my power bank or use headphones if the USB-C port was damaged.
4 0 ReplyI don't think I have seen many phones with that feature.
5 1 ReplyYou... haven't seen many phones that can charge wirelessly? In 2024??
3 0 Replythe phones with that feature are way to expensive

14 0 ReplyOK
22 0 ReplyWhat is this brown arrow and why does it taste like copper?
8 0 ReplyAbsolutely the worst DC character
3 1 ReplyI can see it from your pov. But my favorite band is ween. And brown is the highest of compliments.

Is that conductive? 😳
5 0 ReplyOnly until molten.
4 0 ReplyNope, unless the cable’s or charger’s insulation is damaged, then everything will be a quick ZOPR and the lights will go off. (source, someone with extremely basic understanding of how electrical mains work)
2 0 ReplyWith a high enough mains voltage absolutely.
2 0 ReplyI thought the hook is made of metal... is it not?
2 0 ReplyThe ones I've seen are extruded plastic shaped that way.

If the cable is that long, why not just set it on the floor?
