I get that folks are engaged for various reasons, but Wikipedia isn't at it's best when it comes to current events. I feel like that battle will slow as time passes.
Still - a big thank you to those who strive to combat misinformation.
*And you make a great point. Make the edits to Trump's page after the dust settles and there is no argument about the facts.
Absolutely. The divide isn't going to be solved any time soon.
I respect those who choose the high road, but acting in good faith and expecting reciprocation is what they love to dunk on.
Especially when you get into archaic laws that aren't enforced or widely known.
It's that time of the season, yo. And have you paid attention to the news lately? It's kind of important.
Agreed. And props for making a point that isn't palatable. The first one is complicated. Not many folk I talk to can set aside their revulsion and consider the situation logically. I wish we didn't have to in the first place.
Honest question: I know the birds aren't grounded, but is there any kind of effect such as (feels stupid, but I'll type it) a vibration? I would believe there are EM fluctuations within a close range, but ones that may effect a bird less than an insect?
Writing it out helped me, I'll leave it in case others are in a similar place. I have no qualms with learning why my first guess isn't correct. My day to day is filled with too many folk that know their little corner of life. They tend to scoff at people (me, usually) who came to the field later in life without formal training.
Creativity and original thought in new situations should never be looked down upon. We all have room for improvement.
I understand your /s, but I find the metrics interesting regardless of why they were created. I'd be interested in my ebike's impact.
Perfectly to what end? Is this a teaser for season two of "three body problem"?
Pouring a cup of hot water for tea def sounds different
Yeah- if this was previously possible, I would have expected it many times over
It's a beautiful state, politics aside
I've been on both sides and they're both true. Biking in to get ingredients for one meal is quick. Taking a car to gather a week's supplies (I still have to go back for something later) is a bigger endeavor.
I try to time it with my work schedule, which changes a lot. Old people block aisles and chat from 10 to 12. It's deathly busy from 3 to 5.
Same! I even forgot I watched it!
Yummy.
I won't eat that onion, but I love them for baiting the hook.
Affording a view like that can't hurt
I personally don't, but some dogs love it. It's their safe space.
I appreciate your take. It touches on "everyone else does it" without using that as an excuse to ignore the possible violations of human rights. I could use more conversations like this.
Good job, yo!
I don't know how to be completely proper without diminishing the meaning of my statement all the time, but I agree with this statement's substance and structure. I hope people can take comments like this without feeling degraded.
Nobody should be forced to wear a uniform that diminishes their hard work and achievements that earned them the required uniform. Olympians are going to want high performance garb - generally tight-fitting and light weight. That doesn't mean the team organizers should go hog wild on showing skin to boost ratings. It's impressive, inspiring, and (for me) a bit depressing to see the peak human form without being creepy, but these folks have worked far too hard to be objectified.
But if they're down, I'm down
*Edited afterthought: Do NCAA gymnasts have uniform issues? I don't see their competitions often, but they tend to stay in place to my knowledge. I'm not trying to argue for the new uniforms - it just seems like those uniforms would be a relevant case study.
