No, I was pointing out the hypocrisy that's being shown in people who use that argument
Bullshit, there's nothing in that comment to indicate it was sarcasm, and the "I'm pulling from Republicans too but that doesn't fit your narrative" defence goes directly against what you're now saying.
I respect and support your right to an opinion
There were once people who had the opinion that it was moral to own other people. There were once people who had the opinion that other people should be marched into camps to be gassed and burned. Not all opinions are equal, and some opinions, such as those, deserve to be called abhorrent and fascist.
is half of the country "fascists" now? lol
Have you heard none of the Republican rhetoric on gay people this past decade? Have you heard none of the Republican rhetoric on trans people this last decade? Have you heard none of the Republican rhetoric on immigrants this past decade? Have you heard none of the Republican rhetoric on Muslims this past decade? Did you not see the last Republican president try desperately to overturn the results of a free and fair election before finally inciting an insurrection? Did you not hear him say he'll be a dictator and suspend the constitution next time if elected?
There are some Republicans who still respect America's institutions, such as Pence and Romney, but they've been effectively expelled from the party. Trumpian Fascism now rules the Republican base by a majority, you just need to look at their primary results this year to see that's the case.
There were once people who had the opinion that it was...
So do you support and respect my right to have an opinion that is different than yours? Because I respect and value your right to have an opinion that is different than mine.
Trumpian Fascism now rules the Republican base by a majority, you just need to look at their primary results this year to see that’s the case.
So as I asked earlier, is half of the country fascist now?
Do you think all Republicans are fascists?
Because I don't. And I'm not Republican, and I don't vote Republican.
So do you support and respect my right to have an opinion that is different than yours?
Sure if your opinion doesn't directly lead to the rise of fascism. Oh wait, you repeatedly post leftist third party advocacy in the middle of the election to decide Fascism or Democracy?
No I don't respect that opinion and seemingly almost no one here does, that's why your hundreds of posts and comments on your two week old account have been down voted to hell.
Do you think all Republicans are fascists?
Anyone who still supports Trump after a decade of his rhetoric and actions is a Fascist. I repeat again:
Have you heard none of the Republican rhetoric on gay people this past decade? Have you heard none of the Republican rhetoric on trans people this last decade? Have you heard none of the Republican rhetoric on immigrants this past decade? Have you heard none of the Republican rhetoric on Muslims this past decade? Did you not see the last Republican president try desperately to overturn the results of a free and fair election before finally inciting an insurrection? Did you not hear him say he'll be a dictator and suspend the constitution next time if elected?
Nice job ignoring me pointing out your bad faith argument by the way.
No I don’t respect that opinion and seemingly almost no one here does, that’s why your hundreds of posts and comments on your two week old account have been down voted to hell.
So do you think people should only post articles they think will get upvoted? And create an echo chamber of "like-think." Do you think that would be better than supporting diversity of thought and opinion?
Oh wait, you repeatedly post leftist third party advocacy in the middle of the election to decide Fascism or Democracy?
I'm not sure what you are implying. Care to clarify?
I post Libertarian third party news as well, which in theory takes votes away from Republicans. Funny how those don't get nearly the number of downvotes. Hmmm, curious.
Anyone who still supports Trump after a decade of his rhetoric and actions is a Fascist. I repeat again:
So again, do you think that half of the country is made up of fascists now? You know, you can just answer yes or no. Pretty simple question.
Half of entire country isn't going to vote for your candidate. Are they wrong? Are they fascists?
I respect and support your right to vote for whoever you want. Do you support them voting for whoever they want, as is their American right?
These are political news articles written by news orgs, and posted to a political news Lemmy community. That's not "spam." That's called posting content that matches theme of the community.
Because you've posted 1200 posts or comments in two weeks, that's about 10 an hour for 14 days straight. Almost all of those comments were multiple paragraphs. Making the exact same talking points and ignoring every time someone refutes you.
My comments are mostly in response to people commenting with me. It's called having conversation. If someone doesn't respond to me, then I don't respond back.
I have posted MANY non-political articles, and this is not the only Lemmy community I post to.
And just because someone hasn't changed my opinion, doesn't mean that I am spamming or that I'm "ignoring every time someone refutes" me.
It's called staying true to my convictions. You post your opinions, and I reply with mine. Then you reply with more of yours, and I reply with most of mine.
Nothing you have listed is defined as "spam" in any shape or form.
Do you realize that I post Libertarian third-party news too? And many would argue that libertarian candidates actually take votes AWAY from Trump and Republicans? What about my science articles? Or my education articles to education communities I moderate? Or my articles supporting unions and teachers?
Are you under the impression that I only post to c/poltics?!
I get it. You're mad because I am not voting the same way as you. That's ok. Diversity of opinion and thought is good, healthy even.
But I'm not spamming anything, and it's uncivil for you to falsely accuse me of that.
And it's awesome that you care about me so much that you look up how many articles I post. Unfortunately, I don't feel as passionate about you, so I haven't looked up your profile and I have no idea how many articles/comments you have posted.
You can be mad at me. But don't make up stuff about me. Cool?
Good try bad faith troll. Hopefully, you get banned for spam soon,
I'm not a troll tho. I just have a different opinion than yours. I support and respect your right to your own opinion. I just have a different one.
And calling someone in this sub a troll is generally deemed uncivil, definitely not respectful, and may be against the rules. Please keep your replies to me civil.
Just because you don't agree with me, no reason to get personal and lower down to name-calling.
But I'm not arguing in bad faith as I have been posting my real views and opinions, and I'm not spamming.
I post political news articles written by news orgs, and posted to this Lemmy political news community.
That’s not “spam.” That’s an example of posting Lemmy community-themed content.
If you feel any article I have submitted to this community is against the rules, please contact the mods and let them know. They are very good at moderating this community and they remove anything that is against the rules fairly quickly.
If these are your real views, then I am dreadfully sorry to have engaged with you.
Yep, those are my real views, as are the views I discuss in my replies. And the comment was that I was arguing in bad faith, and I assured you I wasn't.
So what about my profile makes you so "dreadfully sorry" and worried?
I'm sorry I still haven't looked up your profile, but I don't care enough to do that, because I don't know you and you seem very rude to me in our discussions so far.
Hopefully, it was just a bad day you were having, because I try to default to everyone having good intentions unless proven otherwise.
