Russia has accused Ukrainian troops of crossing the border into its Kursk region, which, if confirmed, marks the first incursion of its kind from Ukraine and puts pressure on Moscow in an area largely unaffected by the two-year war.
I saw videos of russian buildings half destroyed, burning structures and vehicles, random explosions, rubble and trash everywhere. Im still not sure if Ukraine crossed the border, that might just be how Russia be.
They'll get bargaining chip if they can hold it. Russia will want Kursk back, and maybe give up their gains in the east in an eventual settlement. On the other hand, it could drum up more popular support for a wider draft.
