Multiversus so bad it's now killing other games.
- To be fair, I think a PC / cross platform game would have more success due to a wider audience. But a lot of those clones often fail to understand the very basic things that make Smah Bros such a great title.
- as far as platform fighters go, Brawlhala actually did decent.
  
  Also Rivals 2 will likely do well. If anything, we're seeing platform fighters getting more and more recognized as a genre rather than one game and a bunch of clones.
- I thought the Nickelodeon one had a lot of potential but they really fumbled it with the small cast, lack of voice acting, and bad netcode in the beginning. It was eerie seeing the Nickelodeon characters be utterly silent while hitting each other.
Every Smash clone tries to be innovative in the worst ways.
I feel like a well executed game would do well. That's not what multiversus is.
Deciding not to make "meta" trash is a good decision.

- Agreed. I think 2XKO could be big enough and accessible enough to bring in Smash players. Riot probably realized they were cannibalizing their own hit game
Making a smash clone before ultimate dropped was smart. The market was clearly ready for a good platform fighter and Sm4sh was easy to upstage. But now its a lot more questionable. You have to have everything right, gameplay, roster, marketing, and luck to stand a chance.
