To be fair, I think a PC / cross platform game would have more success due to a wider audience. But a lot of those clones often fail to understand the very basic things that make Smah Bros such a great title.
Also Rivals 2 will likely do well. If anything, we're seeing platform fighters getting more and more recognized as a genre rather than one game and a bunch of clones.
I thought the Nickelodeon one had a lot of potential but they really fumbled it with the small cast, lack of voice acting, and bad netcode in the beginning. It was eerie seeing the Nickelodeon characters be utterly silent while hitting each other.
