The 3 color thing is for orange/black/white cats. For the standard issue cat, the 3 color thing dosen't work.

I feel like it’s a disservice to call adopted cats “rescues”. Dogs need rescuing. Cats are usually fine if you leave them be.

It's a kitten, those won't last long by themselves without their mother.
But the environment around you won't be fine. Stray cats kill so many animals it's actually a problem.
