It’s the differences that define us. I share 99.9% of the same opinions as Republicans, but where our opinions differ we are irreconcilable.
You’d think they would have cruise line zeppelins.
Ok, hear me out. A tornado takes out one of the walls, mold is growing another wall and another wall is struggling under the weight of its mortgage. The final wall just wants to bake pies for his family.
Edit: I asked chat gpt to make me a pitch for this movie, here it is:
Title: "Walled In"
Logline: When a tornado strikes, a quirky group of walls must band together to repair their home and overcome personal challenges, discovering the true meaning of family and resilience along the way.
Pitch:
Act 1: Introduction to the Walls In a charming, cozy house nestled in a quiet neighborhood, four walls form the heart of the home. Each wall has its own unique personality and dreams:
- Windy – The wall facing the outside world, always yearning for adventure. When a tornado strikes, Windy is left with a gaping hole, feeling incomplete and vulnerable.
- Mossy – The damp wall, struggling with a persistent mold problem that’s slowly taking over. Mossy is anxious and insecure about its deteriorating state.
- Brick – The sturdy load-bearing wall, who feels the weight of the mortgage and the responsibility to keep the house standing. Brick is overworked and stressed.
- Pie – The cheerful kitchen wall, who dreams of nothing more than baking pies and bringing joy to the household. Pie is the heart and soul of the family.
Act 2: Conflict and Challenges With Windy damaged, Mossy deteriorating, and Brick under immense pressure, the stability of the house is threatened. Each wall faces their individual struggles:
- Windy feels exposed and useless after the tornado, longing to regain its strength and purpose.
- Mossy’s mold problem worsens, affecting the air quality and making the entire house uncomfortable.
- Brick is overwhelmed by the mortgage payments, feeling the strain of holding everything together.
- Pie tries to maintain a sense of normalcy by baking pies, but finds it hard to keep everyone's spirits up.
Act 3: Coming Together Realizing they need to work together to save their home, the walls embark on a journey of self-discovery and teamwork:
- Windy learns to embrace its vulnerability and finds creative ways to mend the hole, using materials from the garden and help from friendly neighborhood creatures.
- Mossy confronts the mold problem head-on, discovering the power of natural remedies and teamwork, with Pie’s comforting presence offering support.
- Brick learns to share the burden, opening up about its struggles and receiving help from the other walls, neighbors, and even the bank [editors note: this made me lol].
- Pie continues to bake, but now, everyone joins in the process, turning baking into a communal activity that strengthens their bond.
Act 4: Resolution Through their journey, the walls not only repair the physical damage but also strengthen their emotional bonds. Windy’s repaired wall symbolizes resilience, Mossy’s clean surface represents renewal, Brick’s lightened load stands for shared responsibility, and Pie’s joyful baking signifies the importance of family and togetherness.
In the end, the house stands stronger than ever, a testament to the power of unity and love. The walls have learned that despite their differences and individual struggles, they are strongest when they support one another.
Tagline: "When walls come together, they build more than just a home."
Theme: "Walled In" is a heartwarming tale about resilience, teamwork, and the importance of family. It reminds us that even the strongest structures need support, and together, we can overcome any storm.
Also, they would have given the raises already. Were they just waiting to make sure people weren’t doing whip it’s in freezer before giving the raises?
I wonder if this will backfire in the way printers adding yellow dots to pages backfired.
The first post describes a Bloomhouse movie. The second post describes a Pixar movie.
Even if you did commit the crime it’s still immoral.
Maybe don’t bring social security retirement age until it. They already want to raise that. This would just be another excuse to do it.
You know, not everybody that asks for information has ill intentions.
The trick is that when you see the marginalized group start to fight, you announce that they win the fight and give them symbolic prizes that do actually nothing for what they wanted.
Them forcing me to log in was enough for me to stop visiting that website.
Classic feature not a bug
Doesn’t matter what format the file was in, people did not question opening attachments back then. And computers did very little to protect against malicious emails.
You’ve got a CEO who has a net worth of $200 billion and is demanding more massive bonuses to himself and at the same time he’s killing jobs.
I can’t believe there’s people that want to invest in companies that behave this way.
This was from a time when people would send actual video files to random people over email and they would open it with no concern about viruses.
2 great movies about bad moms. One from the child’s perspective, the other from the mom’s perspective.
Welcome to my darkness. I spent my life hunting this guy, Morty. This is the closest I've ever been to Rick Prime. It's impossible. He.. He's an incredibly crafty piece of shit. Hunting him destroyed me, Morty, but now we're gonna do it together. You and me. It's going to take over your life Morty! Rick and Morty season 7: Hunting My Nemesis. Maybe trying to stay healthy while doing it? Juggling plates? Not every episode, Morty. It could be all happening in the background. Who knows? No.. Noone will, except us. It.. It's the most painfull shit I've ever had to deal with, but I'm bringing you into it because you asked for it, Morty! You and me Morty!
I’m not really sure where to ask this question. Maybe there’s a lemmy dev community where these kind of discussions already happen.
I feel like the default front page in Lemmy is still severely lacking when compared to Reddit’s r/all algorithm. I find hot and top hourly to be nearly identical. The top 6 hour is closer, but still not as good as what the Reddit default front page is.

I feel like with the 3rd party apps shutting down tomorrow, Lemmy could be flooded with new users. It would be a shame if their first experience here is with that front page bug.
