Sorry, I'm just not reading it that way. It wasn't a direct reply, and it was directed at the larger Fedora community by someone whose job it is to help direct the community.
There also wasn't much of a conversation to shut down, since up until that point it was just a lot of demands being made in a rather blunt and rude way.
Thanks for sharing, I think you raise great points about the FOSS community.
I also have an iPhone due to my disability, Android isn't even an option. It was interesting to read that blind users are in a similar predicament.
The idea to move away from bigtec is just inconceivable for something where I rely on accessibility.
That's interesting that Android isn't an option for the visually impaired, since they have on-device captioning for all sounds played through the device for the hearing impaired. Well, not all Androids, but Pixel Phones do. It's a shame that they've missed the mark for the visually impaired, since they've provided a great service for the hearing impaired.
I'm not visually impaired, sorry for being unclear. I rely on hearing aids and unfortunately, the support for hearing aids varies greatly depending on the device. I've had hearing aids connected via BT and the Android phone would treat it as a headphone. Every few hours, the phone would remind me of headphone safety. Absolutely insane. Obviously, googling brings up nothing since it's not widespread enough. I would have had to shell out for the newest high end Android that supported the newer BT standard required. The strength of Android is a big weakness for accessibility. That every manufacturer can have such a different implementation is a liability for me. So I went with Apple since it's one manufacturer and had better low frequency BT support and shipped with better accessibility settings. I've heard that the situation on the Android side has improved since, I personally just hope for more accessibility consistency between the different phones.
