- [hyprland] My first time on wayland
This is my first time trying both hyprland and wayland. My friends have been bugging me for quite some time about switching to wayland but I'm just to comfortable with my dwm setup. So far I really like hyprland though and I might actually keep using it

- [Hyprland, FreeBSD] Minimal setup on my crappy laptop
Since I like FreeBSD so much on my server I installed it on my crappy unstable laptop as well. I only use it for browsing, editing notes and video conferencing when working from home, so I need no complex setup.
From top to bottom:
- Output of
fastfetch
, an openneovim
and my wallpaper switcher. The bar iseww
. - A second workspace with Firefox and my notes.
- My "logout window". Pressing a key combo will show this overlay with the option to close it or pick shutdown/reboot/logout.

- Just ported my awesomewm theme to hyprland + nixos
I am extremely pleased with how it looks. Initially, I was quite concerned about achieving a similar appearance and after two unsuccessful attempts, I felt defeated and abandoned the effort. However, thanks to the helpful individuals in the Matrix chat who assured me that achieving the desired look with Waybar was indeed possible, I decided to give it another shot, initially to prove them wrong. To my surprise, I was met with significant progress. While there are still some finishing touches and refactoring to be done, I plan to address these gradually as time permits. Currently, it is functioning perfectly and is user-friendly.

[Bear** with me, I want to share this cuz no one on my social circle is interested in this]
All jokes aside, I was really unhappy with all my attempts to customize polybar, so searching around I found this mad-man and decided to ditch polybar altogether for dunst and little scrips. I have to clarify, this is my first time using linux and tiling wm, so I have spent this last week trying to get it all together. It was H E L L to say the least, specially doing my on bash scripts for volume, brightness and stuff (you don't want to see that), but still, I'm extremely proud of myself and enjoyed every second of it, including the pain and frustration.
Some more details:
OS: Debian 12, net-minimal install
