The VM I'm running Lemmy in ran out of space so every image attachment is now being hosted in Wasabi so things might be a bit faster now :)

Edit (like 9hrs later): Posts can now properly be loaded inside Mastodon (turns out it was an nginx config error from the early days of lemmy)

New users will no longer have to fill out an application to join toast.ooo, only requiring a valid email address to verify

why?

i feel that it was a roadblock for new people to get into toast.ooo because of having to wait to be approved instead of being automated
