how to watch all TV-shows and movies for free?
  • I just learned today that they got taken down. 😔

  • [Feature Request] Disable animation when jumping between top comments

Would love the option to turn off the scrolling animation when jumping between top comments.

Also wouldn't hate a jump upwards button too. 😁

[Feature Request] Add option for Voyager to open all Lemmy and kbin links by default from browser/web links

Ideally there would be a large list of Lemmy and kbin instance URLs under the "Links to open in this app" heading.

Google calls Drive data loss “fixed,” locks forum threads saying otherwise
  • I'm new to the scene. If a raid isn't a backup, then what is?

  • What is the one most astonishingly dumb things that, as a child, you believed was absolute truth?
  • I thought the abbreviation for pounds (lbs) stood for "lullables."

    I have no idea why.

  • LocalSend cross-platform application for transferring files on local network
  • I agree on Syncthing's UI, and it did take me some time to understand it and get it working right. But I could only get LocalSend to accept files on my Pixel from my PC when I had the app open. Even with quick save turned on, it wouldn't accept the file without having the app open. But maybe that's the point of LocalSend? More deliberate file sharing?

  • Should I use chromium based browsers or firefox?
  • Librewolf for personal and Iridium for work.

  • We Found the One Group of Americans Who Are Most Likely to Spread Fake News
www.politico.com We Found the One Group of Americans Who Are Most Likely to Spread Fake News

One subset of conservatives expressed the greatest tendency to promote false news stories. Here’s what it means for the fight against misinformation.

We Found the One Group of Americans Who Are Most Likely to Spread Fake News

This is a little old, but only just heard of this term of "low-conscientiousness conservatives" from YouTuber Leeja Miller.

"In newly published research, we found that it’s not conservatives in general who tend to promote false information, but rather a smaller subset of them who also share two psychological traits: low levels of conscientiousness and an appetite for chaos."

  • My issue with Droid-ify is that at least half the time updates or initial installations hang indefinitely, and even the Cancel button doesn't do anything. I've gone back to F-Droid as this has never happened to me on that app.

  • Android 14 Beta 5
  • So I'm itching to download the latest Android 14 Beta since it's very close to stable.

If after my phone also eventually updates to the final public version of Android 14, can I somehow opt out of future beta updates without having to wipe my phone?

  • Is it possible to group communities like a multi-subreddit kind of thing?
  • Would looove this as a feature. 😁

  • I've been glancing at Zorin OS again and Zorin Connect caught my eye but I haven't played with it yet. If you're familiar with it, is that just as comprehensive as KDE Connect?

  • Is optimism warranted?

With the tentative success of the UPS Teamsters, the seemingly growing unionization of Starbucks locations, and the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, is it...appropriate to have some optimism for the working/salaried classes in the US?

Adding Alexandrite to iPad home screen doesn't pull favicon

When adding Alexandrite to an iPad home screen, the favicon doesn't get picked up and a letter 'A' is displayed instead.

If you've scrolled down some distance viewing one sort method, and then change to another, your scroll position matches the previous sort instead of putting you at the top.

For example, if you're viewing All sorted by Hot and then you scroll down 7 or so posts. When you change your sort to something like Active, you're still down 7 or so posts rather than being shot to the top of Active.
