Why are people buying records in 2024?
  • Video about why the fuck NOT to get vinyl: https://youtu.be/aZ2czFuIYmQ

    Tl;dw:

    • Supports the oil industry
    • Actively detrimental to air quality, even when lying around and not being played
    • Objectively worse sound quality than digital formats
    • More expensive to artists than CDs
    • Can pollute water when trashed

People like them as a way to collect stuff and support artists, but there are better ways to do both.

This "biovinyl" shit might circumvent the first problem, but reeks of greenwashing.

  • Suyu, a potential replacement for Yuzu
  • "We are trying to get the builds working." And begging for contributors on discord. This isn't a real project, just a reupload of yuzu's source code with some overly optimistic aspirations.

  • Laser beam effect in Godot VFX tutorial
  • It's useful for modularity and consistency.

If you have a fireball attack, explosion attack, and laser attack, it's better to just use a particle emitter for each. You can reuse scripts in this case.

You might want to add additional effects, maybe particles being emitted at the source when it first fires or from the beam when it's turned off. This would be a bit more simple if everything's just a particle effect.

  • Here's the plan. (New video from LTT)
  • I was mistaken - they did say they would "reduce output." However, they said nothing about how, how much, or what that would mean.

They also heavily implied that they were not overworking people, despite that clearly and evidently being a real issue.

It's exceptionally difficult to address this sort of deep-seated issue, but they needed to acknowledge specific wrongdoing, and take concrete action to improve, as they did with the accuracy issue.
