I once registered an account with a random ~25 characters long password (Keepass PM) for buying tickets on https://uhuu.com.br/

The website allowed me to create the account just fine, but once I verified my e-mail, I couldn't log into it due to there being a character limit ONLY IN THE LOGIN PASSWORD FIELD. Atrocious.

EDIT: btw, the character limit was 12

It's much better performance wise now, but you better have a good internet connection because at the first sign of a dropped package the whole thing breaks down...

Outra opção interessante ao Mastodon é o GoToSocial, única coisa é que ainda não suporta absolutamente todos os recursos, mas ouvi dizer que é bem mais tranquilo (e leve) pra hospedar.

Além disso, particularmente eu: uso o Mastodon com bastante força; às vezes movimento meu Pixelfed; achei a pegada do Loops muitíssimo interessante e inclusive postei alguns vídeos curtos por lá, aguardando ansiosamente pela federação pra poder criar conta em alguma instância tupiniquim; gosto de navegar pelo BookWyrm dos outros (já que não tenho conta por lá) pois sempre acho uma sugestão de leitura boa!

pelo que li no changelog foram mudanças no backend do lemmy para solucionar um erro com “aggregates”, uma de modificações da comunidade sendo obtidas sincronamente e outra de CORS.

não sabia que a instância oferecia outras interfaces, mas curti muito essa Photon, por mim poderia ser a padrão 👍

no celular (iOS) uso o Arctic, excelente app! já no desktop acesso pelo site pq não encontrei nenhum app interessante pra Linux / ecossistema GNOME

Paying for it is not the problem at all, in fact it’s preferred over a freemium model.

The practices I mostly refer to are:

• microtransactions in any context;
• requiring additional software (PSN overlay) that doesn’t support all platforms;
• PSN account requirement for a game that’s sold on Steam (have they forgotten about the shitshow that was Helldivers II?).

EDIT: history has also told us that paying upfront for a hero shooter doesn’t work out in the long term if the game wants any shot at being popular, just look at Overwatch’s failure to capitalize on it’s momentum by not becoming free-to-play earlier (and everything else wrong with Blizzard and their management).

That’s what happens when you mix a pile of abusive industry practices with an overall bad and iterative game that doesn’t bring anything new to the genre

I was completely abducted into the Tetris universe by Tetris Effect: Connected and started playing it on a regular basis through different versions such as Jstris and TETR.IO. Ever since this I've been watching movies about Tetris and keeping up with the game's community so this announcement definitely gets me excited for a “docu-game” on the series. I’m all for it!

Legal, não sabia que existia essa opção. Passei a usar o Arctic agora no iOS e ele tem suporte a notificações desse modo, muito obrigado pelas sugestões!

Quando se tratam de notificações sobre interações sociais não vejo o porquê de não ativar, o que me deixa maluco mesmo é SPAM.

Mas acredito que de toda forma seja uma funcionalidade que o usuário médio espera que os aplicativos forneçam hoje em dia…

Will the Gnome version of Bazzite work for HDR on an Nvidia GPU, or for that matter any other OS as long as I’m using gamescope to run the game with HDR enabled?

I don’t think it would work because of the fact that HDR isn’t properly implemented yet on GNOME, still waiting for that to land in 47…
