According to the McCready Law Group, the statute of limitations in California is one year for simple assault. For felony assault, it is three years.
Oh, wow. That's not nearly long enough for someone who is in an abusive relationship. It can take years to extract oneself from such a situation. I mean, if it was a random bar fight between strangers or even friends, sure. But abusive relationships can go on for fucking years because of the psychological and emotional abuse that accompanies the physical abuse, neither of which apply to a random scuffle.
Amend this law.
I don't think this is properly vetted until the kicker from the Chicago Bears gives a commencement speech.
Great. Now I can't enjoy anything new from Woody Harrelson.
I'm sure they colluded to place just enough votes to feign a desire to kick him off the ticket while ensuring he'd be allowed to run.
How's the water temperature? Is it safe to swim or would one's scrotum make a hasty retreat?
Might be possible with Intel's new Thunderbolt Share, but you'd need some hacks to make it work with present-day hardware and it hasn't been released yet.
No, not ever. Where's the hazard pay?
None of us will ever know. Here's one of mine. Try to sleep this hard. You simply can't and neither can I.
Do not become addicted to the water, my friends.
All right, but what about those kids who die because they can't drink until 16 or 18 in Europe. Did you think of them?
When my father died, the Uber driver taking me from my hotel to my family was a woman in the same boat. She told me she was breaking her neck to earn enough in the next couple of days to claim her father's remains from a funeral home. We chatted about our situations. I asked if she'd be offended if I gave her a donation to help. She was so fucking grateful. We could afford the expenses, so it was a real reminder of how barbaric the system is when you're living on the edge monetarily. She didn't even have time to grieve because she had to hustle / grind.
They've been pushing for this for decades, just like the abortion ban. They're slowly getting all the awful things they want.
Failing to rescue them should be illegal. Sorta like how an ER is required to save a life regardless of ability to pay.
I mean, if all you want is mediocre food chains, fast food, a bowling alley, and a movie theater, you're pretty set. That's not enough for me, hence why I left.
Easy answer: neglect.
The amount of harm caused by Reagan and specifically engineered to be possible after his time in office is immense. The man was a rat to his fellow actors, informing on suspected socialists and commies. He only got worse from there.
Context: In addition to all the other lies he's told about his mythology (CIA asset, martial arts trained, whatever), he's also 120% Jamaican. If you add that up with all his other bogus claims about racial heritage, the man is over 1000% human. So of course he's able to do almost anything and super cool. Plus he shot a dog on that show where he played law enforcement, which is about the coolest thing anyone's done.
He's basically a god.
Oh, wow. That's pretty fucked, but also pretty funny. I was gonna fuck off for a little bit before I start doing chores but this caught me off guard and now I don't want to ruin it with less funny filler. Guess it's time to do laundry.
Procrastinators hate this one trick…
I initially thought maybe it was in response to Jan 6th, like, "oh no, we're out of control." But other bits I've seen about it suggest otherwise. Anyway, fuck him. I don't care if he jokes on a meal and dies. Wait…
Paraphrasing a well-spoken college student: We don't hate you cause you eat pussy. We hate you because you're a terrible person.

Worth checking out the posters that an activist has prepared at the bottom of the article.
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker recently made a commencement address bashing Pride Month, and telling women to stay in the kitchen.
Seems like someone deleted this after it got posted, so let’s call out this piece of shit. Apologies if repost.

I comment a lot on stories having to do with state governments and legislation or regions of the country. It got me wondering how many people I'm accidentally disparaging when I don't mean everyone in said state or region is terrible. So… Please be as specific or obtuse as your privacy filter requires. I'll start:
I'm in the Bay Area, specifically Oakland. Despite Bay Area hate from some posters, I think it's great. How about you?
The M4 is looking like a very strong generation for Apple Silicon. According to leaked Geekbench scores likely posted by...
> On raw performance might, the M4 really does live up to Apple’s promises, should deliver. Single core is up about 20% compared to all M3 chips and more than 40% compared to M2. The generational computational leap from the previous M2 iPad Pro is at least a 42% jump on single-core and multi-core.

This is an obviously good thing.

Trump sorta faded from the limelight in 2021. He's everywhere now. How much of that is because of his multiple prosecutions?
Don't get me wrong, I think he should be imprisoned for treason. But if there hadn't been these cases against him, how likely would it be that he just fucked off into the sunset and didn't run for a second term? He might have run otherwise, but now he's kinda forced to (as though he wasn't a narcissist who craved attention – I'm not debating that).
Obviously, we can only speculate. But I'm curious what others think about this?
