I think this is something a lot of people posting here don't get. You can be a programmer, make apps or games in your spare time, set your own goals and be your own boss, and that's great. Suddenly you get a "normal" job programming and you have you deal with customer requirements, business nonsense, and working as part of a team; that's being a software engineer. One isn't superior to the other, they are just different beasts.

Depends on which browser is the default, I think. Even if that doesn't work you can set you private DNS and block most things though.
You're welcome, here is the post I made where it was recommended to me!

I'm usually pretty cautious around "smart" stuff that lets organisations spy on you but I somehow didn't consider the smart meter.
When are you usually away from home? Did you get a good night’s sleep or did you drive while sleep deprived? What time did you leave your home? Did the time it took you to get from to your workplace mean that you broke the speed limit to get there? Or, in a custody battle: Have you ever left your 11 year old child home alone? How often, and for how long? If you are claiming benefits while looking for work, can you explain why you have been away for a couple of days? These are just a range of questions that energy consumption data can answer, or at least guess: maybe you just fell asleep with the lights on, but data is against you and it’s now up to you to demonstrate that you didn’t drive while sleep deprived.
A good summary of 'why you should give a shit'!

Team boss Horner said it was "inevitable" that Brown and his Mercedes counterpart Toto Wolff would stir things up through the media.
"I think it is inevitable. The two candidates involved, they talk a lot," Horner said.
"But I am not going to get sucked into a tit-for-tat. I would be more focused on Toto's own issues that he has."
Man in glass house bloody loves throwing stones
Just sounds like standard Horner shit-stirring to me!
Android sandboxes apps anyway, what GrapheneOS does is allow you to install Google Play Services in a sandbox so you can use it without granting it the admin-level permissions it usually demands.
By default yeah there are plenty of ads, but it's an Android device so you do have (limited) power to replace a lot of the ad-showing bits. It's about simplicity though, if you want more control for less convenience then there are plenty of setups you could run on an RPi.
Surprisingly the latest Chromecast was more adblocking-friendly as it's actually an Android TV and I could install smart tube on it, my old Chromecast couldn't block YouTube ads
I imagine this is how everyone who worked in cryptography felt once cryptocurrency claimed the word "crypto"
If elected this year I will subsidise the price of Freddos
Ah, the XCOM approach. Now you look after those variables and get sad when you have to delete them.
It can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with, it doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead
Definitely worth linking to the explanation of what this actually is!
To reiterate, the worm you see on your screen is being controlled entirely by a simulated virtual worm brain. Very cool if you ask me!
That's why it's here!
Also I'm editing this post to say I somehow missed your excellent pun on the first read.

I have often though about what ridiculously high rolls in 5e would look like. I think rolling a 30 in Performance would be Freddie Mercury at Live Aid.
I completed Afterbirth and put it down for a few years, I've recently got Repentance and not only did I pick it up again pretty quickly but there is so much new stuff. I can't recommend it enough!

BOOMEROAD is an exhilarating action-adventure game in which players slide along boomerang rails you will create. The game is set in an ancient ruin floating in the sky, and the player slides through the vast skies at their own will while searching for the Artifacts.
From the same developers as Doronko Wanko comes another short but interesting game. The gimmick is that you throw a boomerang and it turns into a rail you can slide along to explore some ancient ruins. Runs on Windows, free on Steam.
