I suppose I'm not understanding the argument that a relatively slow appeals process violates someone's right to a speedy trial. By definition, if you're appealing, you've already had a trial and lost.
I do think we are incarcerating too many people, but serving time while waiting on an appeal doesn't inherently violate someone's right to a speedy trial.
Yeah that doesn't mean they're gonna send a Republican to the Senate at all, though, or that it's a risk if you run anyone other than Menendez or a robot.
Northeastern Republicans are capable of winning governorships as moderates, largely because they'll have to work with a Democratic-controlled legislature to get anything done. The dynamic isn't the same for a legislator vs an executive.
Source: have watched Massachusetts elect several Republican governors in my lifetime.
Everett Ross is associated with Black Panther in the comics as well... And is basically a token there. But his existence predates the Disney acquisition.
NSFW tags are built into Lemmy and therefore it's possible to turn that off (whether using Boost, another client, or simply the web front-end). There's no anime tag, so you're basically asking for some kind of chatgpt-esque automagic detection of your disfavored content to filter it out.
Much easier to either block what you aren't interested in from all, or curate what you DO want to see via subscribed, no?
I am confident that's the case - there's a reason the mobile website is constantly asking you if you'd like to use the app instead... it's their preferred mode for you to view. Even if it is terrible, it locks you onto Reddit.
Hoping 3rd time's the charm - lemmy.world gets the DDOS attacks and lemmy.sdf.org has an uncommunicative admin team.
