No Oregon Dems voted for it, nice. This state is so rad...Dems won a supermajority last month of both the State House and Senate, too.

Once again, SO glad to have left that shithole state after 42 years there.

Texas schools need $X funding. The Texas Lottery was meant to add $Y dollars to education. The lottery was sold to the public as meaning schools would be funded to the tune of $(X + Y) each year.

Instead, the state funds $(X - Y). Instead of supplementing education funds, the lottery supplants it. And it's the exact same thing with tipping culture.

(I'd bet this is how most state lotteries which fund education operate.)

I have ASD1, and I have a few students who have it as well, possibly ASD2 for one of them. It is...a challenge sometimes, to say the least (which is how much I would LOVE if one of them would say sometimes as he rambles incessantly when I am otherwise occupied). I do my best to help my autistic students feel heard and to be understood while also giving them insight into their autistic traits that some (mostly neurotypical) people might find challenging and insight into how they might be able to fit in better with others.
