If you mean at a glance, you can use Lawnchair with Smartspacer to get even better experience then stock at a glance on pixel launcher.

It has all functionality of Google's at a glance, while being extendable with plugins.

What am I supposed to do, just leave the old one to die slowly and forgotten?

It allows 3 guesses, but I don't know how often they reset. I'm pretty sure the account was created after September 2019, but that's still a lot of possibilities.

If only I had that. It's not reasonable to assume someone would know that or will hold onto emails about account creation.

That's just how it is. If you try hard enough everything can be spoofed. You can also try guessing someone's password and creation date of an account. This is not the issue here.

Oh, I remember trying that out long time ago. Now there's https://github.com/KieronQuinn/Smartspacer with a lot more functionality and it's also expandable with plugins.

For me it's restic with creatic wrapper, apprise for notifications and some bash / systemd scripts to make it all connected.

Everything is in a config file, just as god intended.
