I'm glad to hear people's stories here about generally feeling better, but it's discouraging at the same time because for me, my baseline, mental health and place with career/society honestly couldn't be more rock bottom. Chronic pain's developed into a killer too, haven't become homeless again yet but it's a looming threat. Been estranged from my grandfather for 4 3/4 of a year, most the rest of my family for 3 1/2 years, and finally my little brother blocked me on Discord 2 years ago. Incredibly infrequent texts with big bro. Some days I think I'm out of reasons to go on.
