Tesla Lays Off Employee Who Slept In Car To Work Longer Hours
  • Tesla isn’t valued like a car company.

The market being stupid doesn't change the fact that they are a manufacturing company. The fact that they can convince people to repeat this nonsense is how they keep the market stupid. Keeping the market stupid is how they continue pumping cash to stay afloat.

  • iPhone actually works. Also, which generation iPhone weighs two tons?

  • The difference is that "tech" companies can produce more of their software with minimal or no additional cost. This is why their values tend to be higher than traditional companies manufacturing things. Tesla can't do that. Their revenue is their shitty cars, without them there's nothing to run their shitty non-working software on.

  • Except that the manufacture shitty products. Manufacturing something makes them not operate like a tech company, which is why Elon is desperate for people to repeat that they're a tech company. You're doing his work for him.

  • Strange they waited until now, and didn't do this a year ago when it was obvious what Twitter was being used for.

  • /r/RealTesla was down (Back up again!)
  • As mentioned on Discord, this kind of thing has happened several times in the past. The RT sub was claimed to be brigading multiple times in the past when posts were made about accounts being banned in a tesla fan sub, and people would comment saying they too had been banned.

Ultimately, I don't use reddit and I couldn't care less what happens over there. The tesla fan sub mods are delicate people that can't fathom a world in which anybody sees Elon as a conman or his company products as the low quality gadgets they are. When you turn out to be a dissatisfied owner, it blows their mind and their world crumbles. Thew new mods for RT have their work cut out for them, because the Tesla weirdos will report the sub over and over again and eventually it will just be a source of constant frustration.

  • Sounds like people of Texas should do something. Something about rotten apple and the bunch?

  • CATL, the little-known Chinese battery maker that has the US worried
  • Because of the rules established by wto members. They decided it was a violation, they all agreed to the terms, so it's a violation.

  • Tesla working on NACS extension cable
  • An extension cable puts the burden on the user and prevents higher charging speeds. All so Tesla doesn't have to use longer cables to be compatible with the most EVs possible. You know, because of their mission to advance the adoption of EVs. The reality distortion is strong.

  • Netanyahu snaps back against growing US criticism after being accused of losing his way on Gaza, says Israel won't stop until 'total victory' is achieved
  • In theory, you could make an argument about defending the people living in a hostile region. In practice the government of Israel has been on a hard right slide for decades and have been openly denying basic human rights to the people stranded in Gaza.

  • CATL, the little-known Chinese battery maker that has the US worried
  • Any nation receiving the products would obviously see through that and protest to wto

  • Netanyahu snaps back against growing US criticism after being accused of losing his way on Gaza, says Israel won't stop until 'total victory' is achieved
  • Great, then we should stop funding their government and military spending. If they won't stop, we can. Of course we won't, but we could and should.

  • CATL, the little-known Chinese battery maker that has the US worried
  • In which way is the US behind any other country in lithium batteries? In which way is the US "clinging to the past" in this area?

  • CATL, the little-known Chinese battery maker that has the US worried
  • The developing of "new things" is pretty international and not exclusive to any region. Universities around the world have been working on energy storage for decades, and lithium batteries are absolutely no different. US universities, European, Chinese, it doesn't matter. They're all hard at work in this area.

What you do see more of is marketing from Chinese companies of cells that make extremely bold claims and never make it into US or EU products for some reason. IMO that reason is the fact that these "cutting edge" cells are known to use chemistries and technologies that have not at all been proven even in lab settings. Solid state cells is one glaring example of claiming victory long before any reliable demonstration of overcoming massive hurdles has been demonstrated, but there are plenty others.

There's also the huge question mark outstanding right now where CATL has claimed cell prices will be cut to less than half their current costs over the next year. It's not at all likely that this is possible without a huge injection of cash from the government propping up the industry and driving costs lower intentionally. Which is a trade violation for WTO members. Whether it's right or wrong is another question, but it's against the trade treaty we all signed onto.

  • CATL, the little-known Chinese battery maker that has the US worried
  • By that measure every lithium battery manufacturer is "little known" then.

Serious Malfunction / Model Y shut down while driving after only 10 miles out of dealership.

Seems like yet another brand new Model Y has stopped in its tracks on the road. No doubt the army will be out in force telling the owner they drove it wrong, or baselessly claiming they hit something, or even just claiming it's fake.

Either way, the excuse generator is kicking into overdrive.
