A benevolent god
  • Honestly, this is The Borrowers remake we deserve.

  • Professional boundaries
  • I am actually friends with my former therapist. I had to change insurance because the one I was using was no longer offered on the marketplace. Couldn't see her anymore. She let me continue seeing her for like 1/4 her normal rate for a few months until I could get into a different doctor. Now we text, chat, and see each other at pride (she is a 65+ straight, cis, married woman in southern US). If I'm going to be in the city where she's at, we'll occasionally get lunch or something. She's awesome.

Oddly enough, though, I think that level of friendliness messed with the actual therapy. Love her to death, but we did more chit chatting than actually delving into anything, and I got so fond of her that I began to get embarrassed sharing anything that I wouldn't already share with friends/family.

The human brain sucks sometimes. Lol.

  • You can't prove that. Orions are real, do not slander the Word of the great prophet Roddenberry, Peace Be Upon Him.

  • can't use eternity on new phone
  • We've got a winner! It didn't work with eternity, but eternity (nightly) works after turning on data while data saver is turned on. Thank you!

  • can't use eternity on new phone
  • So you know how I would check that on an android?

  • can't use eternity on new phone

Hey, folks, I just got a new phone, and reinstalled Eternity on it. But no matter which account I try to log in with, I'm getting an error ("cannot fetch user info") when I try to log in.

Any help is much appreciated. I'm not sure if eternity is on the play store, but I got it through f droid if that matters.

  • My mom was an animal groomer when I was a kid. We had fabric shears, fabric scissors, shears for hair, and paper scissors, kitchen scissors, craft scissors, scrapbooking scissors... So many scissors. I never really understood until I started sewing in my 20s. I knew not to use the wrong scissors on pain of death, but I never really understood why.

Now? I will cut a bitch (with the appropriate pair of scissors for bitch-cutting) if they so much as look at my fabric scissors while within 5 feet of a sheet of paper.

  • This is their album cover. What's the name of the band?
  • I adore the idea of an nuisance animal themed heavy metal band (symphonic metal?) that highlights animal causes while rocking the fuck out.

  • This is their album cover. What's the name of the band?
  • Nuisance Pests, album name is Raccoon. Best song on the album is trash panda. This is their third album, the first was Opossum, best song was Nocturnal Love. Second album was Nutria, and is by far their most popular. Best song on the album was Invasive.

  • The US has so much space
  • I'm all for the socialism, but could we also get the homestead act back? Free land and a grant to build a house if we're willing to go rural as fuck and grow our own food. Maybe combine with eco friendly stuff. Have to build a cob house, must use ecologically safe farming techniques.

  • As a transplant Bumfuckian for well over a decade now, no you can't. It's only cheap if you're bringing your income or savings account from a non-bumfuck region.

  • I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting any incel shit or anything. I just mean outside of major cities, MLM dating pools are tiny. It is reasonably possibly in many areas to personally know every single out queer person on a first name basis. So a much smaller dating pool than that of cishet daters.

The caregiving aspect of it also complicates things. I don't mean "I'm a caregiver so no one loves me!" Or anything like that. It's more "I'm a caregiver, and it's unreasonable to expect others to work or even be able to work around my schedule." I can't leave the house for more than two hours at a time, I can't have someone stay over, and I can't stay over at theirs. Dates are limited to activities that can be done within an hour within half an hours drive, and I have to vet their non-covidness beforehand. My life just isn't conducive to dating/romance.

I just wanna clarify, no incel shit. Just "life is complicated" shit. Lol. We all must sacrifice certain things for others, and I willingly sacrifice that aspect for time with my parents. I love them and wouldn't trade that time for anything else. I'm happy with my choices.

I do, however, have a mostly thriving hookup life. Lol. Gay community comes through for me there. Lmao
