What is the purpose of Tiktok to push far-right propaganda? Would it be possible that it all comes from far-right producing far more content?
I agree with this! Maybe US citizens should set a fox as their president! It would be more wisely ruled then.
C'est sidérant...
It really depends on how you judge being smart. Imagine if you have wings instead of arms and hands, and a beak instead of a mouth. What would you be able to achieve as an organic entity? I'm not sure there's an easy answer on this. I think some animals are smarter than humans, but they just have different bodies, so that's not a fair comparaison to judge on what the human specy has achieved as a whole.
Yes, I asked too fast. It was quite easy to find out. Thus said, those are complete reforge of the UI, so that's a lot more work.
Thank you for your work :) I'm not sure I'll have time for this, but I'll try to check what I can improve on the UI. Where can I find the sources for the "alternative UI"?
- https://a.lemmy.world/ - Alexandrite UI
- https://photon.lemmy.world/ - Photon UI
- https://m.lemmy.world/ - Voyager mobile UI
- https://old.lemmy.world/ - A familiar UI
Especially if my goal is to move to linux to reduce battery drain!
No, he said Breath as a service, which is funny!
Which we will rebrand "Bullshit as a service"!
No, people didn't do such things before, I disagree. People got out, of course, but it had greatly increased market view for events, because random people around could get the information. Before that, it was just displays on the walls, local newspapers, etc, but the potential viewers are way less.
I'm not so sure. Facebook was a great tool to create local communities at first. Then it became greedy and changed the algorithm for ads and being attention driven. If you remove facebook (which I don't use since months), it's harder to find what's new around you, and get out to cool events. Especially on the countryside.
J'ai entendu la voix de Jean-Pierre Pernault en lisant ça ! mais oui, quelle belle histoire !
Anyway, thank you. I'll try waydroid and postmarketos with qemu to get around with it :)
How does Waydroid works with background apps? Is it possible to launch a foreground app with waydroid then close it and discharge waydroid (to avoid battery drain) ?
Do you use it? What are the drawbacks?
Thank you for the insight! I've added this to my rss flux.
I have another more pragmatic problem : I don't know any way to use Whatsapp or Signal without an external android phone linked to it. I don't have the incentive to spend my time improving support if I know I could not use it in everyday life.
EDIT : Thus said, I've just read the situation improved with Flare (client for Signal) and Whatsapp Web, which both doesn't require an active phone connection. Only at registration (which is still a problem).
Exactly! You can use it as a WM or as click-click env!
Oh I'd love to dive into improving device support, but it is somehow quite frightening to me (and I'm otherwise an experienced dev).
