I run it at least once every couple of hours if I'm sitting at my desktop, not sure why, it's just something I do. Gentoo made me give up that habit because compiling packages takes a bit, but me and Gentoo are taking a break from one another, maybe one day...
I wouldn't really worry about it, I got mine from Aliexpress and they've been going strong for a couple of years. Everything on every other web store is drop shipped from Aliexpress these days anyway. If you have pets, try to keep them out of reach/away from the ground so they don't chew on the little strands of wire that the lights are attached to and you will be fine!
Yea, I'm fine, it's a temporary living arrangement but no idea how long I have to put up with it so.
I just try to zone out of it and listen to music or something and avoid interactions with her because I've been starting to think if me coming out a couple of years ago was a mistake because of this, when I originally did it she seemed fine with it which was surprising because I didn't really know what to expect because I'd never heard her go on these kinds of tirades before. I guess something flipped in her brain and now she's just showing her true colors.
Yea, as cool as this would be I have some serious doubts about this, especially since they said they want to put passengers on this thing? The SR-71 reached a max speed of mach 3.4, but it was flying at extremely high altitudes where the air is very thin and the pilot had to wear what's essentially a space suit. Not to mention the plane being made entirely of titanium because during flight the surface temperature of the plane's body was so hot, that any other metal would start to lose it's structural soundness. I have no doubts that technology has massively improved since the 60s, but I don't think it's improved to the point to where we're going to be flying at mach 4 from Beijing to New York like they say. If they end up showing it off later down the line and it can actually do that, well holy shit.
I only really restart if there's a kernel update because I'm too lazy to do all the setup for live patching. If there's an update for something like Nginx, I restart the service after updating it. I try to stay on top of updates, especially security ones for obvious reasons.
server: nginx/1.22.1
I also personally disable this, it's not really too important, but it's a little security by obscurity thing. Makes people scanning the internet for a specific (possibly vulnerable) version of Nginx a little bit harder.
Probably not, but they do have a joint defense treaty with the DPRK and it serves as a good opportunity for them to test their troops in real world scenarios and to learn things that they may need to know in case of a future conflict.
