First, the power was off due to planned maintenance. Second, Shang wasn’t an official federal employee yet, meaning he couldn’t access the pump. Hassen couldn’t do it either, CNN reports, because he had to fly back before the power would be restored.
“They didn’t get their photo op,” an unnamed source with knowledge of the incident told CNN, adding it represented “what DOGE has been this entire time — this slapstick operation of 20-somethings they’re seeing as whiz kids but have zero knowledge.”
lol that's amazing levels of incompetence.
I agree, but I'm not the one you need to convince, it's Terry on Facebook who spends 2 hours a day complaining about bike lanes and vegans.
Why would someone as smart as him be uncertain about ensuring every vote counts?
Because it's an absolute waste of political capital to make happen if there isn't a strong movement fighting for it.
lol tarts
He's repealing the consumer carbon tax.
It's easy to just shift the costs to the background by charging producers. The outcome is largely the same.
The increased Liberal momentum has boosted the NDP's chance to win my riding substantially so I'm definitely grateful for that.
Carney seems like he's open to electoral reform so hopefully this is the last FPTP election.
What is your affiliation with the Fairvote organization?
I'm not on Matrix but it appears there are 18 people on the server.
Friendica has an address of a grocery store outside of Toronto that she supposedly works at.
Would be funny to call and ask for her.
I have favorite colours and types of music and YT channels but if someone asks me what my favourite food is, the answer is either: FREE FOOD or I dunno.
Excitement is a weird one for me too. Sometimes I feel like a lot of my 'excitement' is just an act so other people think I'm excited.
Just got it an hour or so ago.
Can someone explain the con?
See if you can find an advertiser to promote their content on your sub. As the mod you control if it stays or not.
Get paid for your power until everyone leaves or you get canned lol
I was already subbed lol, I'm also on the mailing list.
My MP voted for M-86 and I volunteered for them last cycle. I don't really know what else to do.
“Canada’s liability would be no greater than US$346.7 million” – the difference between what it had already contributed and what was remaining of the original US$551 million commitment.
Since the analysis was produced, the Liberal government has paid another US$33 million.
Considering that there are Canadian companies that have contracts related to the f35 and they would almost certainly be cancelled or not renewed, running down the clock isn't a terrible idea. The $300+m is already a sunk cost.
It'll probably be easier for you to buy or support Canadian digital media than physical goods.
Contributing to Canadian projects or gofundme's would also be highly direct.
The answer to your question is NO
They seem to endorse multiple and that makes their advocacy much less meaningful IMO because it's undirected.

The problem is there is no best system. I'm sure if there was a popular movement related to any of these they'd throw their support into that, but for now it seems like they're trying to be the everything group.
Canada has hummed and hawwed about electoral reform for decades. It just hasn't been worth the required political capital to make it happen for any of the leaders.
This could be key to finally getting it done.

From another page:
"In addition, Canada will have full and exclusive control over Gripen’s secure data – a unique advantage of our offer. The Gripen Centre in Montreal will host all work on the fighter's mission system and Canadians will carry out this work. With the mission system, communications and technical data all hosted in Canada, Gripen exceeds all industrial, security and controlled goods requirements. With Gripen the Royal Canadian Air Force will have maximum control over sensitive data handling."
It's a no brainer, in a world of digital warfare, needing to rely on a foreign home base is a tremendous liability.
Also an entirely voluntary issue with viable quality alternatives that exists solely due to people not chosing FOSS video games to play.
Examples:
Platformer- Super Tux
FPS- Xotonix
Strategy- Beyond All Reason
If your only goal was to win, why would you want to be handcuffed by the responsibility?
This is The City to Beat on Housing Reform- Video on something nice to think about Edmonton and how we're leading the curve.
