Posting the shopping cart theory because people had questions in a separate thread
  • The fact that you are trying to defend your point instead of attempting to see someone else's side screams main character syndrome lol. In my country shopping carts aren't made of paper so they don't have the problem of being ruined by the weather. Sadly parking space is not always available near a cart return but you being the main character I bet when people see you coming they take a wide berth lol. Anyway have a nice day.

  • TIL I'm mostly a good person but sometimes I am also no better than an animal and an absolute savage who will only do right when threatened. Interesting. Another thing is that I'm grateful for other savages who don't put their carts back cause I don't have to walk so far to get a cart.

  • shopping rule theory
  • The shopping cart theory, as written here, starts as a litmus test for whether a person is capable of self governing and descends into two paths:

    1. If you do return the cart you are doing it out of the goodness of your heart and because it is correct; and
    2. If you don't you are no better than an animal, a savage, who does what is right only because there is a law in place or you are forced to.

Self-governance: Are you a good person or a monster? There is no middle ground.
