Ich bin in die Riten noch nicht eingeweiht, da es eher Zufall war, dass ich bei Arch gelandet bin. Nach dem Mint mit den Nvidia Treibern nur einen Monitor ansteuern konnte und die alte Debian Version nicht mal booten wollte, war ich frustriert.

Und habe Arch ausprobiert. Und hier sind wir.

Nobody said that there will only be GenAI generated games. There will be generated stuff in games. It's not going away. You are allowed to hate that but it won't change the industry.

No no, please give me those vast definitely not procedural generated landscapes of open world games - no even better give me the infinite world of Minecraft that is just procedurally generated and those wall and floor textures that some poor overworked artis generated by putting a noise filter on gray and brown squares. Oh you can't imagine how much I love the dialogue choices that totally make sense. And the always identical animations of every character I meet in my games

But I really despise this regurgitated stuff from an AI, especially the translations of languages that I don't understand. Or variated character models or some textures that I usually only notice if they were missing.

Raging about AI is a trend. It will go away like gamergate, shutting down reddit 3rd party apps and removing porn from Flickr. Those who add value to their products with GenAI will prevail.

So rage in harmony with other haters instead of improving by being constructive.

Well that author is not playing any games any time soon. Or he probably will after this artificial rage topic is gone. GenAI is here to stay and it makes stuff way easier and way faster.

Alright, it took some time to understand what actually was happening: There was no state legalized separation of mother and child, the mother chose to return to Germany and left her child back with her parents. The mother is under investigation because she had/has ties to organizations classified as terrorist organizations in Germany and the EU and her permanent residency permit is in jeopardy.

The sensationalized headline is misleading. German authorities do not misuse their power to separate families. And they do not misuse their power to punish Palestinian supporters.

I'm not saying that this was a well handled case, in fact you can see the flaws of a over engineered bureaucracy at play, but this is not even remotely as bad as what is happening elsewhere.

And pointing out 22 cases of supposed abuse when there are over a quarter million request for asylum doesn't make a good case either.

Articles like that won't help Palestinians, they will further move them into a terrorist corner where they definitely don't belong.

Two and a half years ago I asked in an internal forum if M$ could - in theorie - turn off their cloud services and would would happen then. A colleague said they could move the critical infrastructure to another solution within three days but nobody considered this an actual risk. As a almost 50 year old heterosexual white cis man, my opinion might not matter here but as someone who is not married to his wife and mother of our children let me mansplain to you that it is not time that matters but the quality you both see I ln a relationship. Does your girlfriend want to marry? Do you live together and how does it feel? Besides butterflies in the stomach and satisfying intimacy, do you get along in your common live. Do you and does your girlfriend have space in your relationship to retreat and self-care while also allowing to spend enough time together . Can you imagine an every day live and do you believe that you can still enjoy one another even when times are rough for one of you? For me and my wife that I now live with for over 20 years, own a house together, have two kids and a dog, marriage was to binding for both of us. We found another way and we are happy. If that is different for you and your girlfriend do take that step. Time and age is not solely the deciding factor

Hier fehlt die Reflektion der Wirkung, auch bei einer kritischen Auseinandersetzung. Wenn sich die Weidel hinsetzt und 2 Minuten ununterbrochen behauptet der Euro ist am Ende und das anschließend widerlegt wird, ist das einzige, was Schwurbelhörige zu sehen bekommen, wie die AfD im ÖRR nachweist, dass der Euro am Ende ist und Messerkriminalität gestiegen ist. Und das verstehen die einfach nicht und gefährden so die Demokratie.

Ich bin ja für eine Initiative, die Regeln für den ÖRR so anzupassen, das Objektivität im Vordergrund steht und nicht Ausgewogenheit. Wer faktisch falsch argumentiert und viele Menschen erreicht, sollte nicht auch noch mit meinen Rundfunkbeitrag gepamert werden.

Gibt es eigentlich irgendeine Stelle, wo man nachfragen kann, was aus bestimmten Vorfällen und Untersuchungen geworden ist?

Ich bin mir sicher, die Polizei gibt sich größte Mühe, um diesen Fall rechtsradikalen Terrors aufzuklären, nur hören wird man davon nichts. So wie von der Eigenbewertung der Berliner Polizei.

Serious question: They want all immigrants deported, illegal or not doesn't seems to matter any more. Those "aliens" do the work that the white nobility wouldn't do in the first place. Then they sent women back into the kitchen which will easily cut another 30% of the work force, probably much more. And then the tariffs are supposed to bring back manufacturing jobs (that said white nobility doesn't want to do in the first place). How do they think this is gonna work? cut the majority of your workforce and increase the demand of labor all while preventing higher salaries.
