  • It's not some fucking witch hunt. He's a pretentious asshole, who thinks he is better than everyone else.

And yes people can have their own opinions, but he misrepresented the goals of the petition on purpose. Then he refused to debate it with someone (who knows what the petition was actually about) on live when called out.

On top of that he deleted ross's comment, rebuking his shit opinions. How much more of dickhead can you get?

    https://www.reddit.com/r/accursedfarms/s/q2GfDobrPh

He is just a nepo libertarian shill who has no real balls or mana.

  • Sure, harm reduction is good. That's what's been happening for the past century.

But you give the liberals an inch and they'll take a mile. They're only "liberals" as long as they're making money of others, as soon as something goes wrong they're first in line asking for government handouts. That's why the liberals will always prefer fascist over left wing idealists, because they're opportunists more than anything else. They'll backstab you and vote in fascists if they think they can make more money with them. That's exactly what's happening in the US.

We need new politics where hating on the LGBTQ+, immigrants, women, and putting money over the lives of few isn't considered a political leaning.

  • Fuck pirate software. He derailed the conversation on stopkillinggames with his disingenuous straw man arguments.

He's one of the most pretentious fucks I've seen.

"$80 games are bad for the games industry!"

There, I didn't have to be a shill to say this.

  • Look at what you made me do!

I wouldn't have considered genocide, if you weren't so idealistic!!

If you had only partnered up with the people who only care about money, we could have returned to the status quo.

Mate, the goal is to be idealistic. No one is perfect, but we want to strive for what's the best and hope we reach there some day.

  • Are you able to connect with others in your situation or just others from the LGBTQ community in pakistan?

How did you find lemmy? Are you active here? (In fediverse?) Just curious because I'd assume someone would go to reddit before lemmy as it has a much larger community.

  • Most people like trump, because "strong man". No one really even knows who JD vance or Usha are. But I guess they'd like her, they like rishi sunak. Being rich is seen as a virtue. There's also a weird obsession with seeing indians in powerful positions, some sort repressed complex.

She's fine with the racism because "she's one of the good ones". She and vance are neoliberalists, opportunists. Watch them try and make as much money as they can before they get kicked out.

  • I really liked this short when I saw it years ago! It got me excited for a fallout tv show/movie.

But honestly, I didn't like the new amazon TV show. The writing/dialogue felt very off and the effects, though better than in this short, felt like they were a YouTube Production.

It felt more like fallout 4/76 writing than new Vegas/1/ 2.

  • long press the image...

It doesn't do that for me. It only brings up the menu upon clicking the three dots on the right.

I think buttons would fly in the face of the minimalist aesthetic of the app.

I think my suggestion would only make it more minimalistic.

I don't think I am explaining it right.

The current image lightbox has four buttons at the bottom - (Upvote), (comments), (share), and (menu)

My suggestion is to replace the (upvote) & (comment) buttons with a wide (download) button. Comments can still be opened with a slide up gesture and there are multiple places to upvote.

(Personal assumption) I think people rarely use the comment button and the upvote button in the lightbox itself.

  • Not to argue against weed, but it's actually bad for some people who have a certain genetic predisposition.

For some, it can be harmful regardless of whether they have good supervision or they need to learn how to handle the high.

It is known to exacerbate schizophrenia symptoms and hence is not recommended to people with those tendencies.

Edit: I don't remember the source, I remember this from the kurzegesagt videos on it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP15q815Saw&t=17 (This is an early video, they changed their opinions later.)

Their more recent video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBRaI0ZeAf8&t=8 (This is a more recent video and is based on more concrete science. They're a lot more optimistic in this one).

  • You are right, it's true everywhere. It's human nature to be wary of people you don't understand. But, for some things, you'd expect countries that are a lot further ahead in progressivism to be "nicer", especially since, you know, they industrialised and became richer on the backs of poorer countries.

Though I suppose that's very difficult to quantitatively measure exactly - how progressive someone is (on the scale of a country). How more accepting they are than other countries.

But there's also room for letting people air out their issues without being told that "everyone is like this, stop whining". That's literally what the Russian goverment does, they implicitly tell their populace that democracy doesn't work and that this is the best deal they'll ever get.

  • A lot of Americans support Trump or have no willingness to do anything about his facism.

A lot of Germans support Afd.

A lot of french support le pen.

A lot of British folks support reform and Tommy robinson.

So, do all the people from these countries also not deserve any sympathy? You know the ones who can't do anything about who rules over them? Because they are too busy bogged down in trying to make a living?

    Do nothing

How do you expect the regular russian to rise up against putin when they can barely can provide anything for their family? But also, When their only source of truth has been the state media, ofcourse it's brainwashing.

Americans are not doing anything about the horrific things trump is doing and is that okay? Should we start calling Americans burger pigs and paint them all as racist caricatures of fat blonde pigs?

    ...

At least don't dehumanise the Russians. There are plenty who hate what's happening and have died to free their country.
