you should have been born as aristocrat in victorian era England. they used to build separate bedrooms for couples. such an insightful arrangement, lost to time... 😔
i feel saddened that people focus entirely on hindsight but take the current situation as inevitable result of the past, and regard it as unchangeable.
no, this does not have to be treated like any other capitalist asset. if there's a shred of belief that the privacy and dignity of us humans matters to us now in 2025, just get together and disown 23andme, nuke the data, and turn the page.
unfortunately we have to stick harder to the principle of capitalism than any crusader in the middle ages had to stick to the Bible... helpless powerful species
I'm allowed to read my book in the bathtub or in the seat of a plane.
I'm not entitled to scan it and upload the result of this action in any form without involving the author.
^ this is common sense and gaming companies currently have so little, it's pathetic.
they'd rather see people litter the planet with 4 different PCBs and plastic of the current gen consoles than arrive at common sense.
I'm just so sad that it seems most execs in the field go play tennis or golf after work and think videogames are for losers. there is a lot of contempt and expectation that losers will just forever dish out money. if it wasn't for this strange phenomenon that game engines are so available nowadays, we would be screwed. thank god for the indie space
borderless window mode it is. you might be wanting to run exclusive fullscreen but that's only an advantage on windows and their terrible compositor
i'm just on pipewire natively and things are ok. i only noticed that sound can get flaky when you're coasting too close to 100% cpu
yeah gamescope might not work, though it doesn't really give cs2 any advantage - fsr is already in the game. if you're trying to do stretched 4:3 maybe use your screen's upscaler?
for me there was something similar on nvidia, had to toggle vsync and/or msaa on/off, not sure which combination did it. on amd it's fine. maybe one of those things where you either wait for nvidia to not prioritize big ai, or you give the new NVK driver a try.
i feel like desktop nvidia cards are ok, laptop nvidia cards are a nightmare because of the weird igpu/dgpu shit under the hood
