  • Your argument would be valid if Trump was going to be in office for 10 years, but in 4 he will be gone for good. There is no legitimate reason to believe that there is anything Trump can do to maintain power once his term is over. Trump almost certainly isn't going to kill 6 million Jews or any equivalent in 4 years, the only way these parallels continue is if the American people decide for them to continue, irrespective of Trump.

  • I feel like since there is such a big margin there has to be more to it than racism. Ofc it played a role, and maybe I'm just too trusting of fellow Americans, but I think a better candidate/campaign could have overcome the disadvantage of being a black woman.

  • New character: Jeff No abilities or starting items, including t1 weapon/armor. Can't use wands or passively detect traps/secrets (without talisman of foresight). Thrown weapons don't always go exactly where you throw them and have a 5+[excess strength] range limit. Early game gameplay is running around like a chicken with your head cut off until you find a weapon lying on the ground.

  • A +9 plate armor is practically gg, and assuming you run 0 chal you get 15 SoUs on the run. Investing one or two early game will save other limited resources like health pots. It's a trade-off, but once I started being less stingy with my SoUs my runs got a lot more consistent. Late game relies on strategy and skill just as much as stats, so having one less level on an item isn't a big deal if it means you get to f15 90+% of the time.

  • F1-2 you insta chug the str pot and put your upgrade scroll into any t2 weapon you may find early on and you shouldn't have a problem with the sewers. Even if you don't find a t2 weapon, the ability to increase str as soon as you find it makes the sewers a lot easier. Use the lunge+patient attacks talent to take a chunk out of any crabs you find, and the rapier gives blocking power at the cost of damage, so getting to leather armor is a bit less important for f5. For the prison, buy a t2 weapon from the shop if you haven't dropped one already. Your build will vary based on what weapon you have, so just make sure you play to the strength of your weapon. Don't be scared to use upgrades early if you die a lot early game. Also for the duelist the dagger's ability is a budget cloak+ethereal chains, it's definitely my favorite weapon with duelist so I use dagger whenever I can.

  • I do feel that with the new journal overhaul there should be a line in the description of every undead enemy "This enemy is undead", just for the sake of providing clarity. Flying enemies are pretty obvious to identify, but undead is a bit more obscure.

  • Use your range to take him out. Even when he's enraged, he won't go on the traps, so stay where you are and use your wands/throwables. You will end up taking damage from 2 traps, but it's no big deal, you got the hp for it.

  • Thorns isn't a viable strat since you have a very low chance of actually getting it. This strat can work with huntress since the bow upgrades automatically, but upgrading your armor past 7+ is generally a waste. The fact that you have all those health pots left over is kinda evidence of that.

  • As a long time player, I agree it is a very big difference, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's worse. There is more information automatically recorded that is very relevant when ascending/back tracking, and doing this would have been very awkward with the old format. I don't think players should have to open the notes 25 times a playthrough just to record floor modifiers. While you could suggest a way to improve the current system, I feel that simply reverting to the old system isn't the answer.
