Just checking, do people read these?

I've been posting chapters of that pokemon fanfic for a couple weeks now, do you like them? Should I keep doing it? They've all had a few upvotes but no comments, so I thought I'd check in.

Happy reading!

P.S. Don't forget to vote!

What beliefs or hypotheses do you hold strongly despite not feeling confident that you can necessarily prove or evince it?
  • The point I was trying to convey is that the only democratic socialist countries that I'm aware of are rich off of either abundant natural resources or rent-seeking from more exploitative countries like the US. Is it a sustainable model for poor countries too? Historically they've fallen into autocracy. I want it to work everywhere because I believe in justice, but I can't prove it with math or precedent.

Introducing - Pokemon: The Origin of Species

Empty communities are boring, so I've decided to get things bootstrapped with a regular series of posts from the world of Pokemon. This story by DaystarEld is one of my favorite stories, fan fiction or no, and it gave me a reason to revisit my childhood obsession which I always enjoy. Here's the premise:

    > Enter the world of Pokémon from a rational perspective. Instead of starting his journey in ignorance, Red has spent his years studying the creatures so central to his world... and he doesn't quite agree with all the information in his books. No time for rookie mistakes here: he's on a quest to discover the true nature of Pokémon, and maybe even find out where they really come from.

The series is ongoing, but was first published in 2013 so we'll start at the beginning. I plan to post next chapters on Tuesdays and Fridays. Enjoy!

    Sustainability is Important
  • I actually wouldn't mind some biodegradable landmines that were only dangerous for 5-10 years or something. Imagine if we had those in WW2 Europe or Vietnam, those places would be much safer now if we did.

  • Phone UI Always Crashes in the Same Store
  • Oh wow, me too! In my local grocery store I can only use my phone (particularly Todoist) about five seconds at a time before the UI crashes to the lock screen. I'm on a Pixel 5 with CalyxOS.
