iphone 15 pro has something called "always on display" . what exactly is "always on display" i tried to google search it and it didn't really tell me
  • I’m a “use what works for you” kind of person. I’ve been using the Pro Max iterations of the iPhone lately because mainly I like the camera. Having my phone with me out on a hike is better than hauling an extra piece of kit and I like having a bigger screen because I’m middle aged and I have to do the holding everything 2 feet away arm extension to read. Realistically, there’s nothing I would call a major difference among the models.

  • Ah, thanks. It’s absolutely not mine and I can’t give credit because I honestly can’t remember where I appropriated it from but it’s cartoon Ragnarok. It’s cropped down a bit on my phone otherwise it scales a bit weirdly but this is the whole thing. cartoon Ragnarok

  • Always on, idle idle Always On display

Always on, in use active Always On display

The display runs dimmed unless you’re actively using it. During certain Focus settings, like Bedtime, the display turns off completely unless you wake it intentionally.

  • Ah crap is it not ok to say tourist anymore? Are they sightseers? Differently geolocated? Apologies for offending.

  • Got a clear day on Pike’s Peak today.
  • It happens. People come into Colorado Springs to visit and don’t let themselves acclimate if they’re from lower elevations and then they try to do pikes peak, which is about 3k feet lower than Everest base camp. The altitude sickness can be legit.

  • Afternoon drive
  • It’s 14,115 feet in elevation at the summit so it tends to be 30 to 40 degrees (F) cooler than where I live down in Colorado Springs so it’s still cold enough to snow up there.

  • Afternoon drive

Took a drive through Cascade, CO and up to the summit of Pike’s Peak. This was taken after we all got kicked off the summit because May blizzard. Squiggle is road. !

I caught a hell of a cold two weeks ago and it seems to have passed except for this Niagara Falls tier runny nose. I’ve succumbed to desperation and have just been walking around with a nose tampon. Lemmy, how do you treat your runny nose??

    Light sources for winter

Hi folks. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for indoor light sources. I live in Colorado and we’re going to start getting snow here before much longer so I’ll have to haul my plants in. I was thinking about using a flexible LED strip for lighting over the winter. I just moved into this apartment a couple months ago and exactly one room gets sunlight on one wall from a west facing window so some supplemental light might be needed for my growing succulent collection.
