I just watched it for the first time. I’m old enough to remember the cover art at the rental store. The face on the cover never makes an appearance. I was surprised to find out it’s an Australian movie and cast as I’m in NA and I saw it in multiple VHS rental stores as a kid back then. There are some noted parallels to current day political themes. It doesn’t hammer you over the head with it like today, but expects you to be smart enough to understand the message which is a breath of fresh air. I wonder what the historic Australian politics of that era was the basis for the references. The story is a basic “if you don’t like your situation then change it yourself”. I would give it a 7/10 for a B-movie.

Influxdb is a “time series” database for storing metrics. Temperatures, ram usage, cpu usage with time stamps. Telegraf is the client side agent that sends those metrics to the database in json format. Prometheus does pretty much the same thing but is a bit too bloated for my liking, so I went back to Influx.

Grafana, influxdb, telegraf agents. Easy to setup. Barely any configuration required. Everything you asked for in the default telegraf agent config. There are dashboards with plenty of examples on grafanas website.

Piracy. He won’t come out and actually say it which could incriminate himself. Also he just setup a Koi pond in his backyard and put a 24-7 live webcam stream of it. There is really nothing more to it.

I think it’s because us non-wealthy people would rather not have more taken from the remaining 50% of our income after taxes as more taxes to cover something we may not agree with thereby leaving us with even less to get by. Why should I go out and bust by ass every day just to pay for someone else’s lifestyle?

Glad to hear Tennant and Tate are back for a little while, but It’s been almost two years. I don’t think I can keep caring about this show unless the writing and characters improve dramatically. If you discount the poor storylines of the last two seasons then it’s been nearly 5 years.

And neither can agree on what “the system” once it’s fixed/dismanted should be so the rest of us suffer while the world burns.

I don’t think they will. That’s antithetical to their walled garden approach to an app ecosystem. Perhaps if the EU forces them in some way.

I could see how if seen from the wrong perspective it could just look like a mess. And being a local they may not walk through that exact point when getting from point a to b.
