Linus Tech Tips (LTT) release investigation results on former accusations
  • That's niave. You don't think words are spoken behind closed doors. All the paperwork is to cover their ass so they can point to it later when questions. Everything gets swept under the rug when you are hired to investigate the people who hired you.

  • Anker 737 Charger case
  • Thanks. Still smaller than the power brick that came with the laptop.

I used the larger lid for a bit but found it a little large and I never used the suction support so I made a new lid without room for it.

  • Anker 737 Charger case

Got another case print for you guys. Got an alternate charger for my laptop and I needed something to keep it safe in my bag. There's 2 variations on the lid.

    Multiclassing barbarian
  • My Druid in BG3 is the same. He used to cast like a normal druid, but now that I multiclassed Bard he plays a tune to cast any spell, including those I got from levelling his druid side.

  • What are some underrated careers/jobs?
  • This is such a bad take. Getting in to the apprenticeship doesn't gaurantee you work. You have to look at the market in your area to see if there is work for the trade you are going in to. Schools and job posting can give you hints on this. You may have to move where the jobs are. It's a reality.

That union runs on a seniority priority for job call outs. Not all unions go by this, the one I was a part of gave priority to those who worked least the last 365 days. Don't paint the whole system as a scam.

Also my union didn't have contracts for callouts. The companies asked for X amount of guys, they go out for the duration the project. If they like you and there's more work available then they keep you instead of sending you back on the out of work list. But that's the nature of construction, it's up and down and you never know if you have a job after completing a project.

Apprenticeships work the same for non-union, but you have to look for more work yourself if you get let go, same as any other job in the world.

  • Sandpaper Adapter for Oscillating Multitool
  • What material did you print this in? Sanding generates heat pretty easily and may soften some materials. I'm curious of your experience with that as you've given me some ideas for sanding jigs.

  • Linux on the desktop breaks 4% for the first time on Statcounter
  • I don't know if I'm ready to switch my main PC over to Linux just yet but I may give it a try with my media server PC. I mostly just torrent and run Plex on. Would be a good environment to test it in. It's basically just a PC made from old parts and it's running windows 10 right now.

  • What Are Some Things You Regret Buying or Bought but Never Used?
  • For the wireless charger I got one of those Anker ones that hold it at angle like stand, so I put my phone on it while I'm at my desk. I can look at it and check any notifications that come in without having to pick it up. Saves me from having another cord on my desk.

  • Seed Sprouter

I designed these seed propagation trays to be 3d printable. It’s a common style that I took off of a product I’ve seen on Hoocho’s youtube channel. You can find the link to his channel on the printables page.

I printed this in clear PLA as you need some light for the seeds. I unfortunately haven’t been able to give these a test run as I am going out of town soon but I didn’t want to wait to post them.

    3D Printable Wire Duct

Here is my first published print. It's 3D printable wire duct. Working in industrial environments I've always leaned toward using wire duct for wire management. I couldn't find any I liked so I set out to make my own.

I've published it on Printables. You can find more details there about the print. I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Tips on fitting two parts together?

As the title says. I'm new to 3d printing and I'm looking for tips on how make two parts fit together nicely. I've read 0.4mm clearance between the two parts modelled together is a nice rule of thumb.

    Dealing with Father's day as a co-parent

Just thought I'd throw this out there to see how single father's are dealing with Father's day as a co-parent.

I didn't get to see my daughter today because it wasn't my weekend. I could've changed but I don't like changing up the schedule with my ex. My daughter will have something made for me from daycare and I'll get it from her next weekend. Father's day has never been a big deal for me, even less since my father passed a few years ago. It's been just another normal day for me.

Feel free to share your experiences of how Father's day went for you.
