is this the right way to establish boundaries with my nosy coworkers at the hospital?
  • Stop assuming things about people after reading a single comment. I am not an extravert. The reality of it is - completely ignoring and not talking to your coworkers is weird. Even if you don't like socializing to a fault, it doesn't mean you behave like a weirdo when someone engages you in simple conversation. Also, since they are a nurse, they'll be the same towards their patients? Where is the limit? Bedside manner is important and so is interacting with the people you work with.

  • is this the right way to establish boundaries with my nosy coworkers at the hospital?
  • Yeah and being polite includes making small talk when people want to engage with you, not be a dude that says "don't talk to me we just work together". Work consists of 1/3rd of your life, even more for a nurse where doing a 24hr shift is normal. Not engaging with anyone during that time is being rude, even if you don't like to talk to people. It's like the minimum of a social contract.

  • At least they both understand Klingon!
  • There was a story of an international couple that didn't speak eachothers language, but they met at a convention and so they talked klingon to eachother. No idea how reliable the story is, could be pure lies.

  • These tactics are new, but the story is the same it has been for centuries. Huge armies devastated by a new tactic, a new weapon, a new defense. Chariots, heavy armor, crossbows, guns, star fortresses, machine guns, aircraft, now drones.

  • Neighbors looking out for each other.
  • With the right bb gun, you shoot them in the cheek and they get to spit out the BB. Even airsoft guns can embed into your skin, lots of videos with people "popping a pimple" - squeezing out a bb from their forehead.

  • Elden Ring DLC launches to "Mixed" reviews as players bemoan difficulty, PC performance in Shadow of the Erdtree: "There's a big problem with balancing"
  • Guy, Dark Souls and Demon Souls are considered the "Souls" series despite Demon Souls being an entirely different series. So yeah, it is pedantry. Name it whatever you like, people know what I am talking about when saying "souls", and that it includes Bloodborne and Elden Ring. Because the gameplay loop is identical.

I won't be replying to you anymore. I don't like arguing with people that think like you do

  • is this employee in the room with us right now?
  • Work from home makes it even better than listening to coworkers trying to chat you up when you are working. You can have "human contact" with them on optional outings with the team. A coworker isn't a friend, it's a colleague. They won't stand up for you when you get treated unfairly at work, they won't risk their job to save yours. So unless your "human contact" includes inappropriate stuff, I don't see any benefit to it over staying home with the family you love, cuddling pets and skipping a long daily commute.
