We can get a major shot in the arm if we can find a solid industrial use for iridium that sufficiently eclipses any other element. Or some alloy to the same effect.

Unfortunately, it's so rare that it's next to impossible to do any real amount of testing.

I had actually thought about this sort of scenario happening, and wondered the same about a week ago. My conclusion was freeze drying to make powdered eggs that can be shelf stable for years.

Also might end up with a serious market for that as prices continue to climb with no end in sight.

Last I bought powdered egg prior to this recent skyrocketing, it was about a dollar per egg in equivalence. I don't know what it is now, but I'm sure that will go up too.

(I use powdered egg for baking because I just don't go through eggs enough to justify buying fresh. I actually save money by not having to throw away unused product)

My guess is that too many people put those small bags that don't work with the button in there and burned it.

It's a common trend for people that don't understand that infinite possibilities do not mean every possibility.

The way I usually explain this to people is that the quantity of even number is also infinite, but that doesn't mean you'll ever find a value of three in that infinite range.

I'm not sure how you think critical thinking works. Do you have some sort of magical logic flow that doesn't requiere some base understanding of facts?

Critical thinking is about being able to apply knowledge of what you know to what you are currently being told. You need some basis of real, provable facts for it, which is why if you had a bio course, you also likely had some lab component to it as well.

Well, you're correct, but a fun thing about learning is that the deeper you cut into a subject, the more you remember. You probably wouldn't remember much if the entire unit only said "mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell".

And doing these deep cuts to reinforce the basics of understanding work. There is a reason that "mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell" is a meme, and it's because everyone remembers that part, not nessessarily the part that they have their DNA that is always inherented from your mother and is referred to as mDNA.

I hope this helps you to think critically against the continued push against critical thinking, particularly to the claim that what you learned in school has nothing to do with doing it.

Literally the point of the suit is that The Onion was not the highest bidder. From the article:

No. Some positions have cabinet-level ranks (not press secretary) like chief of staff, but being on the cabinet itself requires being the head of one of the major administrative departments. Pretty much any of them can do significant damage with the wrong person installed.

How do you deal with those labels that want to tear themselves into ribbons? This is part of the reason I leave them on the box and heat them in place.
