  • Yes. Just keep in mind that will likely break licensing for virtually any game you’ve legally purchased.

  • Apart from the fact that Windows is still the number one gaming OS… sure.

  • Maybe not ensure he’s fucked for the rest of his life?…

  • Er, people absolutely do enter through non-checkpoints. And it is a crime, though IIRC it’s a misdemeanor. At least argue in good faith.

  • Haha, happened to my original account as well actually. lemme.ml must have had a rollback soon after I created my account last month, because it was gone when I tried to log in a week or so ago. So I get your point.

  • Unless I am mistaken, when the instance you sign up with dies, so does your account? Obviously your content and potentially profile will exist in some state, but you would no longer be able to authenticate, so for all intents and purposes your account is gone.

While that won’t matter for some, for others that means there is some importance in the decision of where you create your account. Since, once that instance decides to shut down (or if it happens to defederate,) your account goes with it.

  • Not that crazy. I think I’m sitting at 23.5%?

Alexas phone home… a lot. My TV does the same. As do many random devices in my network.

I have IoT devices that would love to phone home but I’m controlling them locally so have disallowed them connecting to the internet.

    It adds up quickly.

  • I don’t believe they do that anymore, but I could be wrong.

  • I think the part that’s missing is that this advice is related to companies, not in general. If the company is making a profit, and not asking you to pay, where is the money coming from?

  • Tunneling is one of the better options out there tbh.

  • They exist in Canada as well. They’re actually a great idea. You happen to be dirty? Don’t want to traipse that dirt through a clean house? Just take off your dirty clothes right there and throw them directly into the washing machine.

Also means you have a dedicated laundry room, instead of the insanity I see sometimes where it’s in the kitchen, or a bathroom, or the basement, or just hanging out in the hallway behind a door.

  • I’m a mod over on r/NoahGetTheBoat and I haven’t even opened reddit more than a couple times since Apollo died.

  • Ads? No, I would not accept ads. What I would have accepted was a subscription payment. Hell, I went so far as to purchase Apollo lifetime ultimate.

I am more than willing to support things I use. I am not willing to deal with ads though. Especially when they sneak in like they are posts, and take up entire scroll widths.

  • You have no idea.

  • I honestly don’t think so. Private universities are already more expensive, why would they care if that gap widened more?

  • I don’t really think anyone in the government has a good solution for this, do they?

Remove the available money? Only the rich go to college. Add more money? The prices go up.

You could try regulating it, but then you just get colleges that refuse to accept government money, while simultaneously asking for the same amount.

I’m sure someone has a solution that would work, but it’s not anyone with the power to implement it, that’s for sure.

  • How’d you manage to get the pricing? VPN?
