using it now. but I have to say the Lemmy apps are just much note enticing, NGL.

I've seen the moist cat mbin instance being promoted a few times in RedditAlternative before I move here, actually. it's one of my considerations jumping instances actually.

or links to anything in the threadiverse doesn't open via your instance without an app, extension or proper linking unless it's from the front page.

I'm kind of am using both on desktop and mobile equally. back when i was active on reddit, I use mobile apps to browse and save comments to later interact and respond more easily on desktop.

I'd love that. I still need to go looking for an instance that I can fit in and just block and curate myself.

How is the moist instance? is it stable and relatively quick? I'm partial to stay with mbin instances more than Lemmy but I'm still open to anything really.

It's interesting though, and somewhat nostalgic. It feels like how I was pruning my reddit subscriptions and all. Or twitter. Or other social media. Idk how go through the noise by not pruning what they follow.

Noted. It does feel like I do have to go look for "the one" instance like that. Sucks as a lurker; that's my default mode lol.

Thanks. That's a slight shame. I've only been trying out lemmy / threadiverse for just a few days (second attempt. first attempt was back on reddit APIcalypse) and for now I'm liking mbin a bit more than lemmy. fedia.io being the biggest instance, so that's why I registered there first. next biggest mbin instance is a bit less stable.

I suppose it's still early days for me so I can afford to jump around for now to see what instance sticks, and I guess the software as well.

Hmm, I see. This is interesting. It gives me the feeling that I either would "have to" have a generalist account on the least defederated instance to have as wide a net (kind of my early times on reddit), or I would have specialized accounts to specific topics in multiple instances.

Sorry, I wouldn't know. I'm new and slowly dipping into lemmy and eventually other parts of fediverse. I'm curious too, but idk if I should ask fedia.io's admin about it.
