The Nazis Didn't Even Do This

  • On the contrary I actually like this.

Oh I like it, too, and I agree with your statement, it's just that hopping between multiple eras when building upon the original story makes it a little hard to avoid creating some additional plot holes, but from a certain perspective it does make sense how liberals would co-opt the revolutionary movement just to recreate the old republic and ultimately fail again.

I honestly didn't expect my comment to create a discussion. :o

  • That's fair.

Nevertheless, my point is that the games are highly popular as they are approachable to most people, and many people cherish the story, the characters, and the gameplay. In instances of the "for the fans" content inside the games, I believe most people who do not participate in the fandom just glaze them over and still enjoy the game. The fandom shouldn't stir anyone away from playing the game, nor does it for at least hundreds of thousands to millions of people.

  • My partner likes voicing some of the characters while I voice the rest, it's a fun time.

Awww, I did the same with my friends and family. I hope to do the same with my spouse some day when I introduce them to Undertale.

The game is estimated to have nearly 1 million owned copies, and that's just on steam, and had over 100K players running the game at its peak.

    https://steamdb.info/app/391540/charts/

Undertale has at least 6 million owned copies, with over 200K players running it at its peak.

I wouldn't consider this game to be niche. It does have a fandom, but it's a game enjoyed vastly by more people outside the fandom. I had to convince my friend to play despite avoiding it due to the obsessive fandom (which I have nothing against), and they genuinely enjoyed it, even when a "steam friend" called them the f-slur for playing it. I don't think it's fair or true to say this game is solely made for a fandom to obsess over when the game accrued wide popularity across all kinds of people.

  • I definitely need to. I played Undertale before multiple times and it still holds a special place in my heart. It's one of my favorite games, next to Portal. I do replay games sometimes, but as for story games I have replayed Undertale probably comes second next to Portal, and that's partly because I would share the game (Undertale) with friends and family and help them when they struggled in certain monster encounters. When I finished the game for the first time, I archived the save file so that timeline was retained, as if the world was kept alive forever. Toby Fox's music is amazing, I agree.

  • According to the article:

    Anti-recommendations:

SimpleX Chat – Many suggested this and I will explicitly recommend against it due to the founder's positions on various topics. This includes being anti-vaxx, believing COVID-19 was a hoax, trans- and homophobia, climate denial; In the SimpleX Groupchat he's also been seen basically bootlicking trump a couple times, but I've lost receipts to that.

  • I didn't even know who Pirate Software is. Looked him up, and in his streams he sounds like V**sh, and I can't stand that pretentious voice. Turns out, he artificially deepens his voice on streams and has a much higher pitch voice as proven on videos off-stream, lmao. What an insecure dick.

  • I'm angry every day I live in a world where we consider live leaks of genocide as NSFW/L. Nothing against Evilphd666 or the comment, but to even remotely consider this as NSFW and not solely NSFL just saddens me. We live in a world with a livestreamed genocide for nearly 2 years. Horrific pictures, videos, and stories that no human should ever have to experience, while these sick monsters in power make a game out of it. Death to Zionism. Death to Amerikkka. Death to the West.
